MTQ Club riding shirts have landed!

After plenty of behind-the-scenes tinkering, debating, and moving things around more times than we'd like to admit, we've finally settled on a design we're proud of. The base colour is a sleek dark grey, and we'll let the photos do the rest of the talking.

These shirts are available by pre-order only and are priced at $50 each.

Mens: XS – 6XL

We've compared the sizing to our club t-shirts and they're very similar, but if you're sitting on the fence, check out the sizing chart below.

The material is lightweight, breathable, and moisture-wicking – think fishing shirt comfort, but with MTQ style.

Pre-orders close at 8:00pm on Sunday, September 13 (the same day as Round 4 at Hinchies B), so don't get left wondering why everyone else looks so good on the bike!

Well here we are ready for Round 4 of the MTQ Club Championship, our final competitive event for the year!

We will be venturing back to Hinchies B for this event which will be held on Sunday September 13, early-bird entries will close Thursday September 10 at 8:00pm.

There will be a working bee and section setting on Saturday from 9am, so please come and lend a hand. Free practice is open to all once all sections have been set.

Camping available on Friday and Saturday nights, $10/campsite/night. Please bring cash for camping fees as these are handed over to the property owner, gates open from 4pm on Friday.

ANNOUNCEMENT – Round 4 Date Change!

We’ve made a small change to the schedule! With Round 4 of the Club Championship landing on Father’s Day, we’ve decided to move our final competitive event of the year to the following Sunday, September 13.

The action will take place at Hinchies B, giving everyone the chance to celebrate Father’s Day and still bring their A-game.

Entries will be opening soon, so keep an eye out!

Think you’ve got the moves? Or just need a bit more time on the pegs? Either way, this Sunday’s Practice Ride at Hinchies is the perfect excuse to get out, have some fun, and sharpen your skills.

We’ll be based on the B-side in the compound, but riders are welcome to head across and explore the A-side as well. We’ll set up a variety of sections around the compound and car park early in the morning, and if you’re feeling creative, grab some section gear and build your own challenges!

Gates open at 8:00am, riders briefing at 8:45am, and then it’s feet up and ride time.

If you’re planning to arrive after 9:00am, please send the club a message with your expected arrival time so we can make sure someone is there to meet you at the compound shelter and get you signed on.

The gates will be open at 8:00am, with the riders briefing at 8:45am and wheels rolling shortly after. Entries are on the day for just $15 per rider (Junior & Senior).

We’ll be riding through until around 3:00pm, so come along for a great day on the bike. We will have some section gear on hand so feel free to set a section or two with your mates to have a play on.

Running a little late? No worries—just send the club a message beforehand so we know to pop back to the sign-on tent and get you sorted. We won’t be stationed there all day because, like you, we’ll be out enjoying the ride too!

What a spectacular photo 😲😲

Last weekend’s Lowmead Classic & Twinshock Trial was a great event with plenty of smiles, laughs, and a bit of friendly rivalry as we mixed it up with our northern neighbours from CQTC and Rocky Trials Club.

A huge shout-out to Tony Bax, who somehow managed to clear and set every section single-handedly. We’re not entirely sure if Tony has discovered a way to clone himself, but the effort was outstanding either way! The scores will be posted shortly.

Next up is our club meeting tomorrow night, Tuesday 11 August, at Logan Glass, 21 Nealdon Drive, Meadowbrook, from 7:00pm. As usual, a few members will be gathering at the Meadowbrook Hotel from around 5:45pm for dinner beforehand. If you’d like to join, come along for a Parmi & Chips, and the usual collection of tall tales that somehow get bigger every time they’re told.

Looking ahead, our next event is a Free Practice Day at Hinchies on Sunday August 23rd, followed by Round 4 on September 4th (venue still to be confirmed). More details will be posted later this week once everything is locked in.
