The love you have for yourself sets the standard for the love you're willing to accept from others. πŸ’—

When you don't truly love or value yourself, you might accept relationships where you're not respected, appreciated or prioritised.

You might settle for less because deep down, you don't believe you deserve more.

But when you genuinely love yourself, something changes.

You begin recognising what you deserve.

You stop feeling like you have to earn someone's love at the expense of your own needs.

You become less willing to abandon yourself just to keep someone else.

Self-love becomes the standard, not something you're hoping someone else will give you.

And that's where balance comes in.

It's not about expecting everyone to love you perfectly. It's about never allowing someone else's love to come at the expense of the love and respect you have for yourself.

Because the love you have for someone else should never require you to stop loving yourself. πŸ’—

πŸŽ‚ YOU ARE THE CAKE!

Not half a cake.
Not a cake waiting for someone else to complete it.

The whole, beautiful cake. πŸ’—

Other people can add love, happiness, connection and wonderful experiences to your life.

But your worth isn't determined by whether someone chooses you, approves of you or needs you.

You were already worthy before they came along.

And that's one of the things I love exploring through self-love.

Learning to appreciate who you are, rather than constantly looking outside yourself for proof that you're enough.

It's also at the heart of my upcoming workshop, P.S. I Love Me Too.

Because you matter too. πŸ’—

Imagine loving yourself the way you love the people who matter most to you. πŸ’—

How would you speak to yourself when you made a mistake?

What would you forgive yourself for?

What would you encourage yourself to try?

How would you treat your body?

What would you give yourself permission to want?

And what would you stop tolerating?

Self-love isn't just something you feel. It's something you practise through the way you live.

And when you start treating yourself like someone you genuinely love, imagine what could change.

That's exactly what we'll be exploring at P.S. I Love Me Too, my upcoming self-love workshop for women.

Because you deserve to be on your own side, too. πŸ’—

Well, I never thought I'd be singing The Beatles on camera for the internet! πŸ˜‚πŸŽΆ

But here we are!

And you know what? I'm having fun!

How often do we stop ourselves from doing something because we're worried about looking silly, being judged or getting it wrong?

What if we gave ourselves permission to be a little more playful, imperfect and unapologetically ourselves?

That's part of self-love too. πŸ’—

And it's exactly the spirit behind my upcoming workshop, P.S. I Love Me Too!

An afternoon of self-love, personal growth, connection and fun, where we'll explore how to appreciate ourselves more, let go of some of the things holding us back and create more love, joy and happiness in our lives.

Because life is too short to spend it constantly worrying about what everyone else thinks!

Think of someone you love deeply. ❀️

Do you only love them when they're succeeding?

When they're behaving perfectly?

When they're making you happy or doing things for you?

Or do you love them simply because they're THEM?

You love them through their mistakes, their struggles and their imperfections.

You don't expect them to be perfect to deserve your love.

So why do we place so many conditions on loving ourselves?

I'll love myself when I lose weight.
When I'm more successful.
When I get my life together.
When I'm finally good enough.

What if you didn't have to earn your own love either? πŸ’—

What if you were already worthy of it, exactly as you are?

What happens when you look in the mirror?

Do you look in the mirror and love the woman staring back at you?

Or do your eyes immediately go to your tummy?

Your thighs?
Your wrinkles?
The parts you wish were smaller, smoother, tighter or different?

Maybe you avoid full-length mirrors altogether.

When did looking at our bodies become an opportunity to criticise ourselves?

Your body has carried you through every single day of your life.

It lets you hug people you love.
Laugh. Dance. Walk. Feel. Experience.

And yet so many of us have spent years at war with it.

What if you could start changing that relationship?

By learning to look at your body with a little less judgement...
and a little more appreciation.

That's one of the experiences I've included in P.S. I Love Me Too.
A transformational workshop on Oct 24th in East Maitland to help you love yourself a little more.

Because loving yourself includes learning how to be kinder to the body you live your life in. πŸ’—

You can't fill what's missing on the inside with something from the outside. πŸ’—

When you grow up without the love, safety, encouragement or acceptance you needed, you can spend years searching for those missing feelings in other people.

Hoping someone will finally make you feel loved.

Worthy.

Good enough.

Whole.

But here's what I want you to know.

You were never missing pieces of yourself.

You may have been missing the love, safety and encouragement you deserved.

And somewhere along the way, you may have learned to believe that meant something was wrong with YOU.

But it didn't.

And now you have the opportunity to begin giving yourself what you needed all along.

Love. Compassion. Acceptance. Appreciation. Encouragement.

To learn how to become a safe, loving and supportive person to yourself.

And you don't have to figure out how to do that alone.

You can't change what you didn't receive as a child. But you can begin changing what you give yourself today. πŸ’—

That's one of the reasons I'm so passionate about self-love, and why I created P.S. I Love Me Too, my self-love workshop for women, running on Oct 24th in East Maitland.

Because you deserve to experience the love you give so freely to others.

Think of someone you love deeply.

When they make a mistake, do you tear them apart?

When they're struggling, do you tell them they're not good enough?

When they have a dream, do you tell them it doesn't matter?

Probably not.

You offer them kindness.
Compassion.
Encouragement.
Love.

So why is it so much easier to give love to the people we love than to give that same love to ourselves?

What if you started treating yourself like someone you love? πŸ’—
