Recently we had the opportunity to go for a new adventure. PAA and good friend/camera man went on a journey to see one of Peru's most precious jewel, the ancient fortress of Kuelap.
Kuelap or "Fortress of the clouds" was rediscovered in 1843. It was built by the Chachapoyas more than 1000 years ago over the 3000 masl and it covers more than 7 hectares. The Chachapoyas people were cousins and neighbors of the mighty Incas. The views from up there are amazing! There is so much to see that we are planning next visit already..
