A pretty cool surprise for Oskar! 🏁🔥

A massive thank you to HRX for surprising Oskar with a fresh set of shoes and gloves.

They’ve been keeping an eye on what he’s been doing lately, both here in Australia and on the international stage, and were impressed enough to send these out as a surprise.

Oskar definitely wasn’t expecting it, which made it even better!

Really appreciate the support from HRX. It means a lot when a brand recognises the hard work and results being put in both at home and overseas.

The new gear looks bloody sharp too! 👌🔥

R U OK? DAY 💛

This week we took some time out to visit a number of our Wash It Australia depots, fire up the BBQ and, more importantly, sit down and have a proper chat with our team.

With everything going on in the world these days, sometimes simply taking five minutes to sit down, listen and ask someone if they’re okay can mean more than you realise.

R U OK? Day is a great reminder that looking after your mates and your team shouldn’t just happen once a year. A simple conversation can make a massive difference.

It was great getting around the depots, sharing a feed, having a laugh and checking in with everyone. 💛

Ask. Listen. Support.

🏁 AKC ROUND 4 – PUCKAPUNYAL 🇦🇺

Probably the round we’d rather forget. 😂

Without question our worst weekend in karting — especially after the run Oskar’s been on lately.

Friday started perfectly. We topped a practice session and the kart was an absolute weapon in the dry.

Saturday morning… 🌧️ Wet track, and Oskar had only raced once in the wet before. Mum’s final words before qualifying:

“Just keep it on the black stuff.”

He didn’t even make a lap. 😂 Off into the grass, no quali time, permission from the stewards needed to race and straight to the back.

H1: P26 → P22
H2: Making a move, door shut, pushed onto the wet grass — game over.
H3: Flying through the field, hit a massive puddle — game over again. Eventually about 12 karts were parked beside him. Oskar gets out smiling: “Well, I wasn’t the only one.” 😂
H4: Finally DRY. Starting P20 with a seriously fast kart… second roll-up lap, fouled a plug. DNS. 🤦‍♂️

You couldn’t make this s**t up.

FINAL — DRY — P22 START.

Oskar drove the wheels off it, made it as high as P8, got caught up in another incident and still brought it home P11.

P22 → P11. 👊

Massive thank you to Adrian Bianchini and the Bianchini family for making the four-hour trip and spending Father’s Day weekend with us.

We specifically wanted Adrian there. He loves karting, loves the community and we bloody love having him around.

And mate, for a farmer, you go alright on the tools. 😂 That kart was DIALED for the final.

Minimum weight is 142kg — wait until you see what we rolled across the scales at after the final. 😳😂

Sometimes racing hands you a s**t sandwich. You eat it, move on and hope you’ve used up all your bad luck at once.

Most importantly, Oskar never dropped his head and never stopped fighting.

Forget the weekend. Remember the fight. 👊🏁

🏁 WHAT CAN’T THIS BLOKE DO?! 🤯🔥

New kart. Never driven, never tested.
New track layout. Never driven, never tested.
New mechanic. Met Friday afternoon.

And once again, Oskar just fu***ng delivers. 🔥

After qualifying P6 at iROC Ipswich, we discovered a crack in the FA chassis that couldn’t be repaired. Marcos Flack stepped up with an Energy chassis, giving us the gap between Quali and Heat 1 to swap everything across.

Oskar rolled out for his first-ever race in an Energy and immediately went THREE TENTHS faster than the entire KA2 Junior field. 💜

Despite starting back from Quali, we fought forward all weekend. Oskar led the Final, got pushed wide in a move that dropped him to P4, reset and started pumping out purples again to finish P3. 🥉

We also went from 5th to 3rd overall in the Pineapple Series. 🥉

Huge thanks to Ethan Feather for stepping up at short notice to mechanic for Oskar with Adam Mercer unavailable. First weekend together and straight onto the podium. 👊

And massive thanks to Marcus Flack for the Energy opportunity. Oskar will now represent Energy as a factory driver at AKC next weekend. ⚡️

New kart. New track. New mechanic. Same Oskar. 🔥

🏁 LOCLAN’S FIRST TASTE OF GT3 🏁

Yesterday was a pretty special day for Loclan and for us as parents to stand back and watch.

After seeing Loclan compete in GT4 last year, Volante Rosso Motorsport team owner Josh Hunt reached out and invited him to take part in a full evaluation day in their McLaren GT3.

This wasn’t just about outright speed. Loclan was evaluated on the complete package — speed, consistency, technique, composure, communication, technical feedback, coachability and overall potential.

One of the best parts for us was seeing how much he has grown and matured as a driver — working with the engineers, taking feedback onboard and communicating what the car was doing.

As for the McLaren GT3, Loclan summed it up perfectly:

“It’s like a GT4 on steroids.” 😂🔥

More aero, more braking, more horsepower — an absolutely unreal machine.

Not many young drivers get the opportunity to race a GT4, let alone step into a GT3 — the pinnacle of GT racing worldwide.

The feedback afterwards from Josh made us even prouder:

“He did really well. There was a lot to learn and he did a mega job. He should be proud.”

Loclan’s data, reports and onboard footage will now be shared with McLaren in the UK for further evaluation, with potential future opportunities both here in Australia and overseas, including endurance racing.

Nothing is guaranteed, but yesterday was another massive step forward.

2026 Queensland State Titles – Bundaberg 🏁

What a weekend.

Heading into Bundaberg, we really didn’t know what to expect. The only laps we’d done here were on a road trip with Derek from Power Republic around 6–8 years ago, and they were in pouring rain. Safe to say we weren’t coming in with much track knowledge.

This was Oskie’s first Queensland State Titles in KA2, and what a weekend he put together. With two of the category’s front-runners racing at their home track, we knew it wouldn’t be easy—but Oskie was on fire all weekend.

Friday was all about getting the tyre pressures right. Once we bolted on a fresh set, the kart came alive.

Even better, this was the same engine that fouled two plugs at the last AKC round at Ipswich. We pulled it out of the box, fitted a new spark plug, and it never missed a beat.

A huge thank you to Adam Mercer and Jo, who worked tirelessly all weekend. Oskie was right there on the tools too—he wanted to be involved in every adjustment and took real pride in making sure everything was spot on.

That put us P3 for the final.

Oskie grabbed the lead by Turn 2 before getting absolutely bombed and driven over by several competitors. Instead of letting it get to him, he regrouped, put his head down and charged back through the field. He grabbed P3 on the second-last lap and P2 on the final lap after an awesome drive.

Couldn’t be prouder of Oskie and the whole team. A massive effort from everyone involved, and plenty to take away as we look towards the next one. 👊🏁

Behind every driver is a great team… and this weekend we’ve added another fantastic member to ours. 🇦🇺🤝🇬🇧

As we head into Round 2 of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy in Sarno, Italy, we wanted to give a huge shout-out to Fusion Motorsport and team owner Zac for stepping in to help us when we needed it most.

With Round 3 of the Australian Kart Championship being held on the same weekend, many of the mechanics we’d normally call on were either committed to teams back home or racing themselves. Add the cost and logistics of international travel at the moment, and bringing someone from Australia simply wasn’t practical.

After getting to know Zac and the Fusion Motorsport crew during Champions of the Future in 2024, I reached out to see if they could help us out. Without hesitation, Zach made it happen.

We’re incredibly grateful to welcome Hayden Phillip’s to Team Oskar this weekend. Hayden will be on the tools as Oskar’s mechanic, bringing plenty of experience and local knowledge of the Sarno circuit.

The funniest part? Within about 10 minutes of meeting each other, Oskar and Hayden were carrying on like they’d been mates for years. A few people have even joked Hayden could pass as Oskar’s twin brother… or maybe even Matt Hillyer! 😂

It’s been an awesome start to the weekend, and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together.

AKC Shakedown – Ipswich Kart Club 🏁

The final hit-out before Round 2 of the Australian Karting Championship at Ipswich Kart Club — and what a statement it was.

Both drivers came to play.

Brodie
Random grid? No problem. Started from the rear in Heat 1 and charged through to P3. From there, it was lights out:
P1 in Heat 2, P1 in Heat 3, and P1 in the Final.
Clinical. Fast. Untouchable.

Oskar (KA2)
Almost a carbon copy. From last to P3 in Heat 1, then straight to the front:
P1 in Heat 2, P1 in the Pre-Final, and P1 in the Final.

KA2 is the pinnacle of junior karting in Australia, and for Oskar to take his first win at Ipswich just one week out from AKC Round 2 is huge.
Driver was on. Kart was dialed. Ex*****on was elite.

Oskar (KA3)
Didn’t come easy—but that made it even more impressive.
Qualified P13 after a tough session, then suffered a DNF in Heat 2 after the rear bar was torn off.

From there, it was all fight:
P5 in Heat 3 → P9 to P4 in the Final.

Another lap or two and we were right in it. Massive drive under pressure.

The Statement 📊
Fastest laps in all three classes in the Finals.
Purple sectors all day.
Speed? Everywhere.

Momentum is building at exactly the right time.
Next stop: the Australian Karting Championship.

What a weekend at the Joseph Bianchini Memorial Cup in Griffith.

After wrapping up the Victorian State Titles in Albury, the team made the trip across to Griffith — and it did not disappoint.

The weekend kicked off Friday night with a random grid draw, setting the tone early.
Oskar pulled P3 in KA2 and just outside the top 10 in KA3.

From there… it was game on.

Saturday was huge — 4 heats across 2 classes, over 150 laps for Oskar against some of the best in the country, including state champions and AKC winners.

And all weekend — the pace was there.

➡️ Front row starts in both finals
➡️ Strong, consistent speed across both classes
➡️ P3 in KA2 & P3 in KA3

A bittersweet finish in the finals — got pushed back early, fought his way forward, and was right on the back of the leader ready to make a move… only for a lap kart to get between them and take away a real shot at the win.

$2,500 on the line — yeah, that would’ve been nice… but that’s not what this weekend was about.

This was real racing.

No protests all weekend.
Clean, respectful driving.
A proper family atmosphere.

Friday night said it all — pasta, pizza, music, a few drinks, and everyone enjoying being at the track together.

That’s what we’re here for.

Not the blue plate.
Not the green plate.
The memories.

Massive respect to everyone who made the trip — especially from interstate. They support our events, so we show up for theirs.

And this one means more than most.

The inaugural Joseph Bianchini Junior Memorial Cup — a special event for a special young bloke, and someone Oskar was proud to call a mate.

To walk away with podiums in both classes here… that means something.

We’ll be back every year to support it.
