Māori Rugby League NSW

15/10/2026

The journey has begun for our U13 Kōtiro Māori Rugby League NSW 🖤🏉

Our young wāhine toa kick off their Queensland campaign with a day of team bonding at DreamWorld before taking the field this weekend at the Te Whenua Ariki Tournament!

Before the boots go on and the battles begin, it's about creating memories, building friendships and strengthening the whanaungatanga that unites our kōtiro as one.

This journey is about so much more than rugby league. It's about culture, pride, sisterhood and the honour of representing their whānau, whakapapa and Māori Rugby League NSW.

To our kōtiro, embrace every moment, play with passion, stand with pride and carry your kaupapa wherever you go.

The journey is only just beginning! 🖤

Kotahi te whānau, kotahi te kaupapa!

WHAT A JOURNEY, DELILAH!

Congratulations to our u15s Fillie, Delilah, who played in New Zealand helping the u13 Aotearoa NZ Maori Rugby League team take victory over Samoa in the final!

And if that wasn’t impressive enough she scored 5 tries over 5 games.

At just 13, Delilah continues to show she can hold her own against older competition, and now she’s taken that talent and shown what she can do overseas.

Delilah, we are extremely proud of you. Your journey is only just beginning!

🔵⚫ MRLNSW U17 TAMA | TE HERENGA RANGATAHI 2026 🔵⚫

He manawa toa, he manawa tītī! 💪🏽🔥

What an incredible display of courage, determination, resilience and brotherhood from our U17 Tama at Te Herenga Rangatahi 2026!

Unfortunately, we didn't come away with the victory in the end, but what these young men displayed on the field was worth far more than any scoreboard could reflect.

Every tackle, every run, every challenge and every ounce of effort was a testament to the pride they carried representing Māori Rugby League NSW.

Through the physical battles, the exhaustion and the adversity, our Tama continued to stand tall, dig deep and fight for one another right until the final whistle. 💯

You may not have brought home the victory, but you have certainly made MRLNSW proud! 💙

To our coaching staff, management and whānau who stood behind these young men, ngā mihi nui for your commitment, sacrifices and unwavering support.

To our Tama, hold your heads high! Take the lessons, embrace the experience and continue to grow. The journey doesn't end with a loss — it's another chapter in building stronger players, stronger young men and stronger connections through our whakapapa.

Win or lose, we stand together. We represent together. We rise together.

Ko te mea nui, ko te whanaungatanga! 🖤🤍❤️
