McElhinney Sutton Harness Racing, formerly known as McElhinney Brothers Racing has evolved over time. Starting out as four brothers, Glenn, Adrian, David and Tim, each have gone on to have children who have an interest in the game as well as themselves all holding trainer/driver licenses in NSW. Glenn, who is most well known as a freelance driver enjoyed many years with 100+ winners for the season
and has a talent for getting the most out of a horse and winning for the “battlers” of the sport. Younger brothers Adrian, Tim and David are more concentrated on the training side of things but can all handle a horse on the racetrack when needed with each enjoying individual successes over the years. The next generation involvement started with Glenn’s youngest child, Tiarn who started out training horses in 2012 and then went on the get her license to drive in races in 2014, she is currently and A Grade trainer, B grade driver. Next there was Bryse, David’s son who enjoyed many successes through the mini trotting ranks before beginning race driving 2016. He is also a very talented race caller! We head on to Caitlin, Adrian’s youngest daughter who also holds a trainer/driver license and has recently relocated to Tamworth where she is regularly seen in the winners circle. Tim, who trains out of Luddenham, has 4 daughter with his youngest Tegan showing the most interest, she can regularly be seen at the races as her dads leading stable hand and helping with running his training operation at home. As well as race training, we pride ourselves in the education of young horses. Be it breaking in or those who require further education, we’re open to all enquiries via our page.
