Ten years of Mornington Women’s Football. One team to define the era.

On Friday night, as part of our annual MVP Night, we proudly unveiled Mornington’s inaugural Women’s Team of the Decade, celebrating ten seasons since the club first fielded a women’s team in 2016.

Across that decade, 283 players represented the red, white and blue in three competitions the VWFL, SEWF and MPFNL. From those players, a selection panel comprising former coaches and assistant coaches chose 24 players and two coaches to represent the first decade of Mornington Women’s Football.

Thank you to our former coaches and assistant coaches who served on the selection panel and gave their time and knowledge to this important process.

A special mention also goes to Laura Noonan, who helped bring past players together for the evening and spoke wonderfully on behalf of the playing group, past and present.

To every player, coach, volunteer and supporter who has contributed to this program since 2016 thank you for being part of our history.

We’re thrilled to announce that Shane Ramsay will be back at the helm of our Senior Women in 2027! 🤝

After guiding the girls to back-to-back premierships, Shane has built a program that is driven, successful and, most importantly, a whole lot of fun 🏆🏆

His dedication, hard work and commitment to creating an environment our women genuinely love being a part of has been a huge part of the team’s success 🏈

We couldn’t be happier to have Shane going around again in 2027 as we look to continue building on what has already been an incredible few years 👏

We’re telling the story of Women’s Football at Mornington

Women’s Football at Mornington Football Netball Club has grown over many years — through early foundations, growth, challenges, premierships and everything in between.
