We're also sharing because, here's the truth about eventing in South Australia: every single one of our events is run by a small team of dedicated volunteers who love our sport but are seriously stretched thin.

Entries alone don't cover the cost of running a safe, well-organised event and all OC's run at a massive loss without things like training days and fundraising efforts propping things up, and even then a loss is still likely.

We need more committee members. We need more hands at working bees. And more than anything, we need more people to understand what it actually takes to keep eventing alive in this state.

So please: share this post, share every SA event post you see, and if you've got any capacity to help, on a committee, at a working bee or have a great sponsorship lead or a sugar daddy, please reach out. Every bit counts.

Without funding, there is a very real chance the 2027 Naracoorte Horse Trials won't go ahead.

For over 50 years, this event has been built by volunteers, supported generations of riders, and been a cornerstone of Eventing South Australia.
