Another fun weekend with two days of racing at Lucindale.

Saturday Addison and Ryley both had one DNF for the day which lost them some points, but raced well for the remaining heats which put them starting the final in 2nd (Addison) & 3rd (Ryley). Ryley crossed the line first in the final which saw him come 2nd 🥈 overall on points for the day. Addison finished 2nd in the final and came 3rd overall. A great effort!!

Sunday Ben was busy with 3 karts on the track!! Emily had her first taste of racing in the KT Ladies class which was a great opportunity for some girls to give it a go. She absolutely loved it and finished all of her races. She improved so much each time she went out.

Today was a different format to normal which started with a qualifying heat. Addison qualified fastest and Ryley 4th fastest. This then determined where they started in heat 2 & 3.
When it came to the final race Addison had earned enough points to start out of pole position having dominated the day with some great driving, and Ryley started in 3rd.
It was a winner takes all final, so when the checkered flag came down it was Addison out in front 🥇 with Ryley not far behind her in 2nd 🥈.

Second day of racing at Morgan today. And in true Addi style after her big crash last night, came out with a 2nd in one of her heats. Holding off her brother in 3rd.
Considering her kart was a little worse for wear and slightly bent up she did some great driving.

Ryley had an up and down day. Drove the best we have seen in all his heats, which put him into pole position for the final. Unfortunately push starting the kart ended with a small mechanical problem which was quickly rectified. While on his way to resuming pole position, unfortunately the race was started leaving him rear of field. Showing some amazing maturity he raced an amazing race fighting his way from 13th to 7th earning himself a 3rd overall for the day.

Now dad has some serious work to do to get the karts back to 100% before heading to Adelaide & Blanchetown next weekend!

Also a congratulations to Harry Bell for a 2nd in 125 lights.

This weekend we are up at the Riverbend Classic in Morgan.
