Dressing up is starting to become something I do rather often, compared to the past π
It's been a massive week at work with the start of a 12 Week Challenge I am running, to finish the week off, we got a little prettied up and attended the Women In Business and Chamber of Commerce Business awards. I am proud to say that was nominated and made it as a finalist.
This has nothing to do with me and everything to do with my family, my employees, and all of our members.
You guys are the finalists ππ

UPDATE
Today it is 2 weeks since having my breast implants removed. My surgeon found both of the implants had ruptured, so the chemical cocktail that was seeping into my body would have been delightful, I also don't know how long they had been ruptured for....
As soon as I was back from surgery I was able to breath, its crazy how much excess weight you have on your chest without realising.
I have noticed my lower back pain is almost gone.
I have not been overheating at all as I was every day previous to surgery.
My sweat no longer smells like it did and my gut issues don't seem as bad.
The feeling that I lost with implants is almost all returning.
I am still dealing with dizziness, mild headaches, tiredness and other detox symptoms, but these can go on for weeks/months as my body works to release all of the toxins from the implants.
I have another 4 weeks of rest & recovery then I am able to get back into a light physical routine π₯°π₯°
It's been a minute, a minute since anything real has been posted on my socials anyway.
I am posting this for awareness, If you're only here for the fun stuff then this might not be of interest to you, it might be an over share, so keep doing your thing.....
Late 2016 I took myself off to Qld to get a set of DDs. I've always had self esteem issues and thought this might help........ I mean, it kinda did, for my bikini/bodybuilding competitions anyway. But in every other aspect of my life, not a thing changed, you might say it made me worse.
Aside from having a new set of rocks attached to my chest, I also never got any feeling back post surgery. NOT. A. THING.
I managed to get over that part, but other things like, sleeping on my side was really uncomfortable, hugging anyone hurt not only me but also them π, being intimate with my husband was nothing short of annoying and after all that, I still needed to wear a bra. So as you can probably tell, they weren't worth it to me just from those issues. But hey, I got them so now I have to live with them....
But then, 3 years down the track, my health started to decline. I didn't put two and two together until 2021 when I discovered something called 'Breast Implant Illness'.
It started off with major fatigue, I first put that down to my alarm going off at stupid hours all week due to work but even with afternoon naps, I was still and still am extremely exhausted. Then the following symptoms began and continue to this day;
Random jabbing pain in my chest
Constant heart palpitations
Regular migraines
Sever joint pain that can last for days then just disappear
For one week in 2022 my whole body felt like it was going to shut down, but it just disappeared
Constant dizziness
Breathlessness
Inflammation
Huge bouts of depression and suicidal thoughts
Heightened anxiety and stress
Weight gain
Brain fog and forgetfulness
Hormonal imbalances
Numbness in both of my arms & hands
Constant lower back pain
Gut issues
Heat intolerance and rashes
Horrible smelling sweat from the armpits
Basically I'm just a walking s**t show....
In Feb 2023, I had an appointment with a surgeon to discuss removal of these lovely things, only to be informed that they were in fact recalled in 2019 due to causing a rare cancer. Lovely, glad they let me know π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ It actually means nothing anyway because they don't do anything for you except replace them if you want that and that's a HELL NO from me. The surgeon also said that my symptoms are all consistent with Breast Implant Illness.
So. At my expense and the help of my family, I am having them removed in 5 weeks time. I would not be able to have this surgery without the help of my family, at just over $17k it is absolutely not something I would be able to fund on my own. I am so grateful to have the support that I do.
Thanks to an amazing individual who managed to find a class action law suit for my situation, so hopefully, that will eventuate to something in the future
Moral of the story...
DO YOUR RESEARCH
CONSIDER YOUR WHY
IS IT WORTH YOUR HEALTH
