Welcome to the 2026/2027 season.
We kick off this Friday 16th October at 5pm

For those who have registered, uniform patches and singlets can be picked up from Walker’s oval between 4:30 - 5:30pm today, Tuesday 13th and Thursday 15th.

A reminder that registrations for Western Plains Zone Championships are due by this Friday 16th October

Mudgee Little A's is NOT a drop and go sport. At least one parent or carer is required to stay on site each club night for athletes aged 16 and younger.
Every age group does require volunteer adults every week. There are committee members wearing club shirts floating around, who are more than happy to help with any questions or concerns. Again, the Little A's website has tonnes of information on rules and regulations, specific for different age groups if you'd like a head start on the basics.

If you're clapping your child over the finish line, please don't hesitate to help the timekeeper with placings, racking the sand at the long jump pits or helping out at the throwing events.

The council make decisions on wet weather closures at lunchtime on Fridays. We will update on this page as soon as we get word.

Little Athletics also has a heat/humidity and lightning policy. We do our best to always stick to this as the weather warms up.

GET READY FOR FRIDAY NIGHT ATHLETICS
With our Friday night competition starting October 16

Registration & Uniform Pick-Up from 4:30pm on Tuesday 13th & Thursday 15th October

Uniform for season 2026/27
* Club singlet/crop top (with number & patches)
* Black shorts/tights
* Appropriate footwear

Coles Age Patch - Can be worn on either side of your singlet or crop top.
McDonald’s Rego Number - Must be worn by all LANSW registered athletes (including Tiny Tots) - Place it front and centre on your singlet.
Wearing a crop top - the bid number and age patch can overlap to fit — just keep the season date and sponsor logo visible!

Please see below the image for how to correctly place your age and number patches on your athlete’s uniform. Please remember this makes it visibly easier for timekeepers, judges and ground officials to see the athlete’s number and ages group.

Western Plains Zone Championship
Date: Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November 2026
Venue: Northparkes Oval, Alexandra St, Parkes

Entries for the Western Plains Zone Championships are now open and can be submitted via the link provided below.
All entries must be received no later than Friday, 16th October 2026.

Use the same login as was used to register this season. Pick events from the age-appropriate list that is presented as per the Entry Regulations

Entry Information and Regulations
Athlete entry limits:
🟡 Ages 7–11 years: may enter up to four (4) events (excluding relays).
🟡 Ages 12–15 years: may enter up to six (6) events (excluding relays).
• A booking fee of $25.00 applies once to this order for events marked with *
• Final timed program will be available a week out on the same website

We particularly encourage families whose children are interested in the Zone and Regional carnivals and the pathway towards State Championships and potentially national representation to get involved.

Further information regarding the carnival and representative pathway will be shared as it becomes available.

📣 Reminder our AGM is tonight!

The Mudgee Athletics Club Annual General Meeting will be held:
📅 Monday, 11 May 2026
⏰ 6:00pm – 7:30pm
📍 Club Mudgee – Upstairs

All members are encouraged to attend. As part of the AGM, all committee positions will be declared vacant and elections will be conducted on the night.

Executive positions include:
President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Registrar.
We would also love to see some general committee members join and help with the weekly activities that make our club night successful.
This is a great opportunity to support the continued success of athletics in Mudgee.
