There are seasons for doing the work.
And there are seasons for allowing the work to become part of who we are.
Over the past couple of months, I’ve felt called to pause.
Not because the healing, learning or inner work has stopped, but because I realised that integration needs space.
We can spend so much time looking inward, healing, uncovering, processing, learning and becoming, that we forget we are also here to live.
To be human.
To experience pleasure.
To laugh.
To love.
To be with family.
To be present in ordinary moments.
To allow life itself to become the teacher.
For me, this pause has been about allowing everything I have worked through, learnt and uncovered within myself to settle into my body and become embodied , rather than constantly searching for the next thing to heal.
Integration has also given me the space to notice what has genuinely shifted within me, and to recognise the places that can still operate from an old wound, fear or sense of lack.
Not with judgement.
Just with awareness.
Because healing isn’t about reaching a place where nothing ever activates us again.
Sometimes it is simply about recognising the difference between who we were, who we are becoming, and the parts of us that still need a little more compassion.
I’m learning that sometimes the deepest work isn’t doing more.
Sometimes it is living.
Allowing pleasure.
Allowing connection.
Allowing rest.
Allowing yourself to experience the life you have been doing all of this healing to be able to fully inhabit.
Maybe integration is the moment we stop constantly trying to become someone else…
and begin living as the person we have already become.
