A stack of tea bowls. Local wild clay slips over commercial stoneware. Shino glazed on the inside and raw texture on the outside. Anagama fired for 4 days. Available soon ✨.

Wood fired large mixing bowls from the recent Anagama firing. It’s so nice when the final piece matches the original creative vision and these bowls have exceeded it. Beautifully textured on the outside and smooth on the inside.
They’re also big enough to have plenty of room when mixing batter. The dark moody tones turned out exactly right.
Our kitchen wares are often so disposable or replaceable but I like the idea that we can bring art and ceremony to our everyday objects.

These will be available soon through my online store.

Many sides of the same piece from a recent wood firing I was lucky enough to participate in. What an epic process! After many months of making work and splitting wood a team of us stoked the kiln round the clock for 4 days straight. It’s been a dream of mine for many years to learn about kiln wood firing so it feels so good to finally be here. Big love to the team and for generous knowledge sharing

Wood fired dishes from yesterday workshop! It was an amazing day with lots of people turning up despite the rain to learn about wood firing ceramics. Some beautiful pieces were made and some stunning pieces came out of the fire. I was enjoying the process so much I forgot to take photos of everyone’s creations, but here’s a couple pieces of mine that joined the fire. Thank you so much to everyone who came and to my many helpers! .louise

Hey friends!!! I’m still here! I’ve been out bush with and on various programs for the past several weeks. We’ve been paddling in this chilly river and holding space our most powerful Wilderness Vigil yet. Im so grateful to be apart of this work and it’s one of favourite things to do besides making pots. This lovely big mama is slipped with wild clay for the local area and ash glazed. I’m also going to running an impromptu workshop in Jervis Bay in the few weeks. So stay tuned for more details about that ❤️

Some moments from our Organic Ceramic Community Craft Day yesterday. We snacked, we laughed, we made pots. So many wonderful humans making some truly beautiful pots! I’m so inspired by the pieces everyone made, they’ve given me so many ideas. Thank you everyone whose came and thanks to for the photos ❤️
