What a fantastic evening at the Surf Life Saving Awards Night at the Convention Centre.

It was a privilege to rub shoulders with Her Excellency the Governor and so many inspirational legends of our surf lifesaving community.

The night was a powerful reminder of the incredible impact made by humble volunteers who give their time, energy and passion to keep others safe.

It was inspiring to see so many deserving awards presented to individuals and teams who continually raise the bar and motivate those around them to do the same.

Congratulations to all the award winners, and to every volunteer who makes a difference through their dedication, service and commitment to helping others. You are the heart of our community. 🩵🤍🩵

Our dedicated President is a force behind our club. Congratulations Erin on receiving the Presidents Award 🏆

We’re proud to announce that Erin Scammell is the recipient of our 2026 President’s Award 👏🏽

Erin has been the driving force behind Murray Bridge Lifesaving Club - our first river-based lifesaving club.

As Founding President, she has led her club through its inaugural nippers season, welcomed more than 80 members, and supported 10 young members in achieving their Surf Rescue Certificate qualification.

Erin has a remarkable ability to inspire others and make ambitious goals feel achievable. Her resilience, vision, and persistence have been instrumental in building opportunities for young people and growing lifesaving in inland communities.

Thank you, Erin, for helping drive our future as we continue to expand and strengthen our presence beyond the coast 🙌

Congratulations to the 36 members across 15 clubs who are set to embark on the 2026 Youth Development Camp next week! 👏

With participants coming from all across the state, from Whyalla to the South East as well as Murray Bridge for the very first time, it’s fantastic to see such strong representation. We look forward to providing an opportunity for our youth surf lifesavers to connect, build friendships, and get involved in a wide range of activities 🎉

The camp will take place at Woodhouse Adventure Park from Monday April 20 - Wednesday April 22.
