💚💛 NJRL AGM TO BE RESCHEDULED 💛💚

Unfortunately, tonight’s AGM was unable to proceed as we did not have enough members present to meet quorum. A new date will be advertised shortly.

Before we do, we want to make something really clear.

Our AGM isn’t just about filling committee positions or having voting rights. It is about having people who genuinely want to contribute to the running and future of our club.

Like most volunteer sporting clubs, far too much of the workload continues to fall on the same small group of people. Our club cannot continue to grow and operate successfully if the same people are expected to carry the workload year after year.

Being part of a committee means more than having a vote when an issue matters to you. It means turning up, helping throughout the season, sharing the workload, contributing to discussions and making decisions based on what is best for the whole club.

We absolutely want new people involved. We want different ideas, different perspectives and more members having a say but with that comes a willingness to contribute too.

If you want to know how your club operates, help shape its future and have a genuine say in the decisions being made, come along, get involved and be part of the work that makes those decisions possible.

A club belongs to its members, but it only works because people are willing to put their hands up and help.

💚💛 Our 2026 Competitive Presentation Night 🦎🏉

What a way to celebrate another season of Junior Lizards footy! A great night recognising our U13s, U14s and U16s, along with our shield and major award recipients. 🏆

We’re incredibly proud of every player who pulled on the green and gold this year, and so thankful for the coaches, managers, volunteers and families who make our club what it is.

A big congratulations to all of our award recipients, and thank you to the Narrandera Argus for capturing and sharing our night. 💚💛

🏆 And that’s a wrap on our 2026 Presentations! 🏆

2026 was our first year trialling split presentations, as we wanted to make it that extra bit special for our older cohort of players. Did we get it all right? No. And for those we may have missed, we are truly sorry. But just like our players, we are learning, growing and improving as a club, and we will take everything from this year and continue to build on it.

We hope all of our players loved receiving their player cards, a little something to remember their 2026 season by.

A huge thank you to every coach, manager and volunteer who gave their time, energy and support throughout the season. Our club simply wouldn’t happen without you.

And to our amazing families, thank you for supporting our club, attending our events, cheering from the sidelines and helping make the season what it was. We hope you all had a fantastic night!

We’ve still got a little more to come, with our 100 Club, AGM, and then hopefully seeing many of you back on the field in 2027! 🏉

Tonight our very own Noka Prior was officially recognised as the 2026 NSWRL Volunteer of the Year- Bidgee Regional Winner and we couldn’t be prouder! 🦎🏆

The write-up from NSWRL perfectly captures Noka’s passion for women and girls in Rugby League, but here at NJRL, we also get to see everything else she does and there is A LOT 😂

If Noka gets an idea in her head, you can guarantee she’s going to make it happen. Not just half do it either, she’ll plan it, organise it, probably take on far too much of it herself, make sure every tiny detail is right and see it through until it’s exactly how she pictured it.

She’s a coach, mentor, player, organiser, problem solver, supporter and one of those people who is always doing something behind the scenes to make things better for our kids, our families and our club.

Noka gives so much of her time and herself to Rugby League, not because she wants recognition, but because she genuinely cares about the people in it and wants to see our little club continue to grow and thrive.

We’re incredibly lucky to have her in our Lizards family and tonight we hope she takes a minute to actually sit back, enjoy being celebrated and realise just how much everything she does is appreciated.

Congratulations Noka! This one is so very deserved. We are all incredibly proud of you. 💚💛🦎🏆
