Encourage Shield
In excellent conditions there were 2 tight contests at Merewether GC today
In game 1, Nelson Bay v Belmont, 3 matches went to the 18th hole and the final result was in the balance, however Nelson Bay prevailed and won the day 5 matches to 1
In game 2, Charlestown v Waratah and with Charlestown a player down, it was a even contest with 3 matches a piece
Great to see the juniors being so competitive and going around the course in a timely manner.
