We honestly don’t think we’ve fully digested what happened last week yet… what an unbelievable adventure!

From start to finish – both on and off the diamond – this team of 12 absolute legends showed heart, hustle, and Hunter Coast pride. Every single player gave their all and grew in ways that made us prouder each day.

🩵 To our coaches – thank you for your unwavering dedication, leadership, and belief in these kids. You’ve helped shape them not only as players but as teammates and young people.

🩵 To the team behind the team – Hannah & Elese; the helpers who helped me wake, feed, heard, launder, and organise the boys, and somehow you did it all with smiles (albeit with a lot of caffeine) 😜

🩵 To our supporters, both in person and online – whether you were in the stands or watching nervously from afar, thank you. We felt every bit of your support (and hope your heart rates have recovered!).

🩵 To Michael Ibbotson & Marc Roberts – for your seamless coordination and ownership of the tournament. What a well-run, smooth-sailing event!

Congratulations to Hunter Coast who secured a spot in Saturday’s Gold Medal Game at the Little League Invitational!

The boys finish Pool Play with a 4-1 record.

Today they won 4-3 in a second extra inning in what is probably the game of the tournament.

Don’t think we even have the words to describe today’s game!

It had everything from heart, hustle, and edge-of-your-seat moments from the first pitch to the last. Both teams absolutely brought it, and the pitching on display was nothing short of outstanding! Thank you Northern Melbourne for a phenomenal game today!

Day Three – One to Remember 🩵⚾️

Another epic day for our Hunter Coast crew kicked off with something special - a visit to the Dolphins NRL captain’s run, where the kids not only watched the team warm up but got to meet the players, grab autographs, and snap a few selfies. Huge thanks to Baseball Australia for organising an unforgettable experience for all the teams.

Lunch at the fields brought a bit of shade and a whole lot of fun. What started as a quiet moment turned into a sing and dance-off between the Western Melbourne Mets and the Belles, with our own players quickly joining in. Watching Hunter Coast and the Mets come together right before their game was a beautiful reminder of what tournament baseball is all about - friendships, laughter, and the pure joy of play.

There were questions, handshakes, high fives, jokes, and the kind of truly awful 10–12-year-old boy screaming that could only be topped by how brilliant the Belles were. If you're ever wondering whether it's worth playing tournaments alongside girls' teams - the answer is yes. Their energy is contagious, and we loved every second of it.

Then it was time to switch back into game mode and Hunter Coast delivered again.

We took the win against Western Melbourne, holding off a late-game surge to finish 7–5. The team built a five-run lead in the sixth and showed real resilience under pressure.

⚾️ Game Highlights:
• Kade C launched a 3-run homer to left field in the fifth!
• We picked up 10 hits overall.
• Bailey K, Kade C, and Angus P all collected 2 hits each, with Kade driving in 3 runs to lead the offence.

🏆 Tournament Standings (After Day 3):
• Adelaide Armada – 3-1 (RA 20)
• Hunter Coast – 3-1 (RA 25)
• Sun City Thunder – 3-1 (RA 29)
• Northern Melbourne – 2-2
• Swan Hills Aces – 1-3
• Western Melbourne – 0-4

With three teams tied at 3–1, only the top two will move through to the Gold Medal Game. The tiebreaker? First head-to-head, then runs allowed, so every run matters!

We face Northern Melbourne today at 9am on Baseball+ and it’s a big one!
