A milestone day at Leprechaun Park! 🏉

Sunday 14th June was a special day for Mackay Brothers Rugby League Club, as we welcomed a great crowd to Leprechaun Park for our home games against Sarina and the official opening of our brand-new changeroom facilities.

Opened by Mr Glen Kelly MP on behalf of the Queensland Government, this project has been a dream for the Club for many years and we are incredibly proud to see it finally come to life.

The new changerooms have been designed with inclusive use and accessibility in mind, providing improved facilities for our players, members and the many affiliated clubs who call Leprechaun Park home.

A huge thank you to the Queensland Government through the Minor Infrastructure and Inclusive Facilities Fund program, administered by the Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games, for helping make this vision a reality.

We also acknowledge the support of our affiliated clubs, RLMD, QRL, the Trustees of the Leprechaun Park Trust, Fergus Builders, CBD Building Designs, Pethebridge Plastering, MB Civil & Construction , Abbott Plumbing, Wix Painting Services Pty Ltd and all tradespeople involved in delivering this outstanding facility.

This facility is more than just a building - it’s a lasting legacy for Mackay Brothers Rugby League Club, our affiliated clubs and the wider community, creating opportunities and connection for generations to come.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us at Leprechaun Park yesterday for our Sponsors Round and Su***de Awareness Round. We also appreciate everyone who supported the cause by purchasing a special Su***de Awareness jersey in our auction.

It was a mixed day on the field, with our Reserve Grade side securing the win 💪 and our Under 20s collecting the two points following Souths' forfeit.

Unfortunately, our Women's and A Grade teams went down against strong Souths outfits.

It’s that time of year again! Tomorrow we celebrate our amazing sponsors while also dedicating the round to su***de awareness and prevention.

This round also gives us the opportunity to shine a light on su***de awareness and the importance of supporting one another. Mental health matters, and we want to continue creating conversations and reminding our community that support is always there💙 After the games, we will be auctioning off our A-Grade jerseys (last years jerseys below).

A massive day of footy is coming up this Saturday at Leprechaun Park as our teams take on Souths! 🔥 This weekend also marks our Sponsors Round and Su***de Awareness Round, making it an important day both on and off the field.

1:30pm - Under 20’s - Wests vs Norths
3:00pm – Women's
4:30pm – Reserve Grade
6:30pm – A Grade

Our under 20’s have a bye as souths have forfeited.

Our Women's team kicked off the day and put in a strong performance, narrowly going down to Sarina in the final minutes. Great effort, ladies! 👏

Congratulations to all of our Men's teams, who came away with wins over Sarina to cap off a successful day for the club. 💪

Mackay Brothers Rugby League Club extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Peter McNeil. Macca was a valued part of our club community and made a significant contribution over many years. May he rest in peace.

Congratulations to all of our teams on getting the win over the weekend! Our men’s teams took on Wests at home, while our women travelled to Proserpine to face the Brahmans.

Some big scores, great footy and plenty of effort across all grades 👏

We now head into a bye week before returning home on Sunday 14th June to take on Sarina.

Big Saturday ahead as our men’s teams return to Leprechaun Park to take on Wests Tigers in some massive clashes 🔥

Our women’s side will also be in action, travelling to Proserpine to face the Whitsunday Brahmans in their Round 3 game 💪
