Growing up before there was computer, mobile phones snd online streaming means parents needed to find games or activities to entertain the kids. My parents decided jigsaw puzzles 🧩 were reasonably cheap and could be played over and over again.

I still love playing with jigsaw puzzles today - the physically ones not the online version. I find it calming, improves mind focus, and accepting that you don’t have to finish it at one go. It’s a mindfulness practice and can get the whole family involved (although the cats tends to be more disruptive then helpful) 😂

This 1000 pieces puzzle costs $5 from the op shop. Took us a couple of weeks to complete. And the satisfaction that came when we put down the last piece was completely worth it.

Sometimes it’s the little thing, simple activity that helps bring calmness and clarity into our life, and improve our mental wellbeing.

Finally!! First sourdough ~ took many attempts and 18months of trial and error to get the sourdough starter to be bubbly and active. Moral of story - Don’t give up. If it fails, try and try again.
