This morning's super quick 30 minute sess - 100 squats, 100 push ups, 100 KB steps, 100 dips, followed by 20kg loaded carries! Next job? Cleaning the house with a 1 and 3 year old....!

Snuck in a short, sharp tabata session while the baby was asleep. Toddler was in charge of timing my intervals ;). Tabata is great for fat burning and gets the heart rate up fast. Typically you pick an exercise such as a squat, work for 20 seconds and then have 10 seconds rest. Repeat 8 times. So you're basically working out for 4 minutes per exercise. I kicked it off with squat press followed by KB step ups, push ups (shoulders were killing me!!) and then finally dips. Wow. Felt. The. Burn.
Timing your workouts is a great way to keep you on your toes. There's nowhere to hide when the buzzer goes off telling you to start your next round. My Mums n Bubs crew will be experiencing this type of training this week...hehe 💪🏻😜 Have an awesome weekend and happy training.

Home backyard gym! I'm really time poor chasing after two kids all day so I have to be super efficient with my workouts. I'm currently working out with a few core pieces including a 16kg kettle bell (squats, step ups, farmers walks), 20kg sandbag (loaded carries) and a 12kg dumbbell for guns and shoulders. And nothing beats my own body weight for push ups and dips. Couple of rounds on these and I know I'm alive :) 💪🏻

Starving after training this morning and there's nothing much left in the fridge. Basically whipped up this salad from the scraps and it tastes delish! Carrot, cucumber, snow peas, feta, capsicum, avo and a big 185g tin of tuna. Drizzled with olive oil, mustard and vinegar dressing. If you've done the hard yards don't wreck it by eating rubbish! Your body will thank you :)

No need to buy commercial ice cream! Just whipped up this banana and blueberry 'ice cream' in our nutribullet. Full fat yoghurt, slurp of milk, few frozen ripe bananas and a decent handful of frozen blueberries. I popped it in the freezer for a bit and boom - taste sensation!

Getting to a gym isn't working for me right now. I'm too time poor chasing after two kids:) It doesn't mean I can't exercise though. I can generally find 20 minutes each day and focus on compound movements so I get the best bang for my buck.
Today I used my 10 kg kettle bell and set of dumbbells to train legs (KB squat press, deadlifts and sumo squats), shoulders (Arnold presses) back (KB rows) and chest (push ups). Threw in some core work (plank, side plank and Russian twists) and I was done! Here's to getting your work out done today 💪

About to tuck into this salad. I'm a creature of habit and generally have something like this most days. People often ask me whether I get bored with the same lunch day after day and the answer is no. Who could possibly tire of the taste sensation that is avocado, tuna and feta?!! The great thing about this salad is protein and fat combo - it fills me up until late arvo. No need to open the pantry again and again...Anyone else a creature of habit? What does your lunch look like?!

While the baby was sleeping, i whipped up this super healthy veggie frittata. There's breakfast sorted for the next few days 👏 Eggs are a great source of protein and teamed with a decent serve of veggies = winning!

First session back at the gym in a looooong time! Feels good to have some 'me time', and to top it off the kids survived without me for an hour 😝😜 💪 Don't let the grey Melbourne sky deter you from getting your session in. Go on, get out there!

Veggie patch haul! Love growing our own stuff - the patch is bursting with broccoli, kale, parsley, spinach and chillies all of which will feature in tonight's dinner.

I feel as cold as I look! If you are in Melbourne you'll know just how cold and windy it is today. But, I'm taking any opportunity I can to go for a brisk walk without the double bugaboo pram :) Over the past few months I've started to get back into my fitness but it's a been a slow journey. Strengthening my pelvic floor and core was my first priority after giving birth to our second, and now I'm on the battle ropes and (light-ish) kettle bells a few times per week. I'm really looking forward to regaining my strength and dropping some of the baby weight. But geez, it's hard with two little ones! No excuses though - let the work begin! 💪🏻💪🏻
