A challenging weekend for our senior teams, but plenty of positives to take away and a big finish to round things out.

🔥 Prem A fought hard but went down 2-4 against the Blackhawks
💪 Jets B came up against a strong Demons side, falling 0-5
🚨 Jets C put on an offensive show with a huge 10-2 win over the Bison! 🙌🔥

📣 BIG milestone coming up for the Melbourne Jets family! 🏒

On May 22, Darren Croft will skate into history, playing his 400th IHV game — becoming just the 26th player ever to reach this incredible milestone in the IHV.

Darren’s remarkable career includes:
⚫ 156 games with the Blackhawks
🔴 33 games with the Rangers (Demon’s/Jets merger team)
🟣 205 games with the Jets

A true clubman of the game, Darren’s impact goes far beyond his playing career. He is also coaching our Jets U11 Junior team, helping develop the next generation of hockey players with the same passion and dedication he’s shown throughout his career.

Hockey is truly a family affair for the Crofts, with both of Darren’s boys proudly representing the Jets:
🏒 Sam – U13’s
🏒 Will – U11’s

And the Croft family hockey legacy runs even deeper, with Darren’s father Gary Croft having played an incredible 619 IHV games — making him the 7th player in IHV history to reach that milestone. An amazing contribution to the game across generations. 💜🖤🤍

Congratulations Darren on an amazing achievement and thank you for everything you’ve given to the game, the club, and our hockey community.

Mother’s Day means so much to our club.

Mothers, Grandmothers and our other special guardians make up so many aspects of our club. They are supporters, volunteers, players, organizers, managers and so much more, we simply couldn’t function without them. Today we recognize that dedication and take a moment to say

THANK YOU.

We see it every single week at the rink but it goes well beyond that into homes, late nights, emails, schedules, long car rides, racing between other commitments, early morning alarms - we don’t even see the half of it! But we know it and we feel it because without it, our club wouldn’t have two legs to skate on!

Thank your mums, hug your Nanna’s and share your appreciation with your special guardian that helps you on your hockey journey and in your every day life.

Jets C took the win with a 2–0 result over the Monarchs on Monday night.

After a tough battle through two periods, the Jets broke through in the third with both goals coming late to seal the shutout win.

A great finish from the team to close it out strong. 💜✈️
