END OF SEASON AWARDS! 🏆

Team Spirit/Princess of the Pitch – Alyssa Miller – she can sing, she can pull off the funniest villain outfit ever, she can run like an energiser bunny and even when she was smashed in the face with a ball, she took a Snapchat of the bleeding wound and got right back onto the pitch… maintaining her smile the entire time. She brings nothing but sunshine and positivity, and we all love her for it.

Team Clown – Bronnie – every team needs a Bronnie. From constantly losing her playing gear, to cracking out the cheese and biccies right before a game, to making terrifying moo-ing noises and then trying to fine everyone else in the team in an effort to deflect from her own mishaps, she’s been the source of amusement for everyone yet again.

END OF SEASON AWARDS! 🏆

Fossil of the Year – Wendy Rix – still going since women’s premier league started in 2000, she is now possibly the longest-standing player in the competition. She tells us she’s getting too old for this gig, but we don’t believe her. She is still showing the younger kids how it’s done and has scored 4 goals for us this season, so we’re not letting her retire just yet. She brings out the best in all of us, and with a bit of Fossil Fuel in her drink bottle she’ll be good to go for at least one more year.

Umpire’s Best Friend – Ellie Parker – Ellie is one of the most genuine, kind and polite players you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. We don’t think Ellie has ever been carded in her life, but if she was, she would probably say thank you and offer to make the umpire a cup of tea. She’s shown incredible dedication this year in travelling back and forth between hockey and uni, racking up more kilometres than Peter Brock on Mount Panorama, and once she has finished her studies she will be our third physio in the team. Ellie is hard-working, skilful, fast and adaptable; she’s a good human who brings out the best in everyone around her.

END OF SEASON AWARDS! 🏆

Most Improved – Laura Jones – Jonesy is a player that has just continued to improve every week on the pitch. Even when she’s come straight off night shift, she runs for days and hunts down that ball like a seagull on a chip. She listens, is a team player, and always gives it everything she’s got. She is so brave that when she was smashed in the face in the grand final, she just kept on running and nobody knew about it until her face had swelled up like a watermelon three hours later. The only thing she has left to improve now is her ability to last the distance on bus trips.

Rookie of the Year – Gracy Allen – Gracy is one of our young guns who is making her mark in premier league. Gracy consistently shows up, works hard for the team and gives it her all. Whether she’s on the pitch for 15 minutes at a time or for 3 minutes, she makes an impact. Gracy has shown adaptability with playing different positions this year, happily giving anything a go. She has a bit of a habit of leaving her gear behind after games, which is only a problem when she tries to get out of being fined for it – when you say the drink bottle doesn’t belong to you, it’s best to check that your name isn’t engraved all over it in large letters.

END OF SEASON AWARDS! 🏆

Player’s Player & Ironwoman – Meg Searl – she may be little but she is mighty fierce. Meg absolutely smashed it in the Players’ Player points this year, being named Players’ Player in three of our games, and also consistently receiving points every week from her teammates. Her peers have acknowledged her never-say-die way of training and playing (even when her dad tells her to stop running on her broken legs), the way she leads by example, the way she has brought the team together and the way she plays with heart every single week. Meg gives 150% every time she plays, and her sheer determination and never give up attitude truly make her an ironwoman. She scored 9 goals this year and helped us all to keep on raising the bar.

Most Dedicated & Consistent – Elly Thornberry – Elly has come a long way since her premier league debut at age 14, and now she’s getting ready to fly the Parkes United nest and save goals in the big smoke. Elly is always cool, calm and collected, even when Andy announces at training that it’s “double points lightning round”. Elly was our runner-up in Players’ Player points this year. She has cute cover shorts, a commanding presence, lightning reflexes, a big voice and the ability to jump in and out of the splits like an Olympic gymnast.

END OF SEASON AWARDS! 🏆

Best & Fairest - Andrea Finn – based on points awarded by the opposing team after each game. She might live in Forbes, be constantly late for games and have an unsettling addiction to sour worms, but she is an absolute legend on and off the pitch. She brings experience, knowledge, determination, leadership and throws more overheads than a Qantas jet. She scored 5 goals this season and is an absolute weapon – we’re glad that we get to play with her, and not against her.

Leading Goal Scorer & Goal of the Year – Chloe Carty – she might have a few issues when she’s trying to wear superhero outfits, but our team scored 34 goals this year, and 12 of them were by our superhero Chloe. Chloe runs even when her feet are breaking down and she can score goals from the tightest of angles. Goal of the season was in Round 10 against Bathurst Souths – when the ball came flying at lightning speed and waist-height into the circle, Chloe didn’t shy away (perhaps because she barely saw it coming) – she did what was required and deflected it straight into the roof of the goal – an absolute cracker that even Superman wouldn’t have been able to stop.

After a massive season capped off with a back to back Premiership, choosing this year’s award recipients was not easy.

A huge congratulations to all of our 2026 award winners. Your hard work, commitment and contribution have not gone unnoticed👏🏼
