Today was a special day with βThe Originalsβ π©·
Today we headed into the city for lunch, socialisation, and a day of fun together. What stood out most was the genuine friendships that have formed with these three. The laughter was nonstop, the conversations flowed, and the smiles said it all.
Watching these friendships grow and seeing each person become more confident in social settings is exactly why community participation is so important for us all.
Days like today remind me that meaningful connections can have a powerful impact on wellbeing, confidence, and quality of life.
Thank you, βThe Originals,β for another unforgettable day. I canβt wait to see what adventures come next! π©·

One of our favourite adventures from last school holidays πΏβ¨
The Glow Worm Tunnels near Lithgow gave us the perfect excuse to slow down, get outdoors and enjoy a day surrounded by nature. From spotting glow worms in the darkness to taking in the beautiful scenery along the way, it was a day full of smiles, laughter and a little bit of adventure.
What we loved most wasnβt the destination though β it was watching the kids encourage and support each other along the track. When parts of the walk got a little tricky, there was always someone offering a hand, waiting for a friend or cheering each other on. π
These are the moments that make our programs so special.
Weβre putting the finishing touches on our next School Holiday Program and canβt wait to share it with you. Keep an eye on our page β the full program will be released by the end of the week! π
We had a fantastic day yesterday at the Zig Zag Railway with some of our older kids. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and explored the historic railway together, creating some wonderful memories.
On our way home, we stopped at Pizza Hut for an all-you-can-eat lunch to celebrate Zacβs birthday. We all left feeling very full!
Thank you to all the kids for making it such a great day, and a special thanks to our birthday boy, Zac, for being our GPS and DJ for the trip

β¨ Meet Keely β¨
Last but definitely not least in our Get to Know Us series, meet Keely!
Keely is one of those people who can make anyone feel comfortable within minutes. She's fun, friendly, easy to talk to and always up for a laugh. Whether she's joining in on a game, cheering someone on, or just having a chat, she brings plenty of positive energy wherever she goes.
For many of our participants, Keely has become a bit like a big sister β someone they trust, look up to and love spending time with. She's patient, encouraging and always happy to jump right into the fun, whether that's tackling a new challenge, getting creative, or joining in on an adventure.
Keely's genuine care for the people she supports shines through in everything she does, and we're so lucky to have her as part of the Mumma's Move and Fitness family. π

β¨ SECOND IN OUR GET TO KNOW ME SERIES β¨
Meet our Operations Manager, Mandi π
Mandi is the person working mostly behind the scenes at Mummas Move & Fitness helping keep everything running smoothly. From administration and compliance to planning, organisation and supporting both staff and families, she plays a big role in the day-to-day running of the business.
With a background in administration and community services, Mandi is passionate about creating a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for participants and their families. As an autistic woman raising an autistic daughter, she brings not only professional knowledge, but also lived experience, understanding and compassion to her role every day β€οΈ
She loves being part of a team that focuses not just on support, but on movement, confidence, connection and genuine community.
One of the things Mandi loves most about Mummas Move & Fitness is seeing the friendships and relationships that grow through the programs β not just between participants, but between families too. Watching participants build confidence, have fun and find a place where they feel accepted is something she finds incredibly rewarding.
Outside of work, Mandi is a mum, a music lover, and usually has a cup of tea nearby π΅

β¨ GET TO KNOW ME β¨
First up in our βGet to Know Meβ series is the amazing woman behind Mummas Move & Fitness β our Director, Jo π
Jo created Mummas Move & Fitness with one big goal:
To build a place where people feel supported, included, empowered, and genuinely connected.
With a strong background in personal training, movement, and fitness, Jo has always been passionate about helping people build confidence, strength, and independence through movement. Over time, that passion grew into something even bigger β combining movement with meaningful disability support and community connection.
What started as a vision has become a space where friendships grow, confidence builds, and everyone is welcomed exactly as they are π
Whether sheβs organising activities, supporting participants and families, cheering everyone on from the sidelines, or joining in the fun herself β Jo brings energy, compassion, and heart into everything she does πͺβ¨
One thing youβll quickly learn about Jo? She truly cares. About our participants, our families, our staff, and the little community weβve built together.
Weβre so lucky to have her leading the way π
