I remember debating whether I should put the first chapter in my book about our problem oriented mind. In the end I made it my first chapter because it's so important to understand that whilst our problem oriented focus is ideal for finding solutions, such as at work, it's not ideal in criticising yourself.
Confidence and self belief don't mean you'll always be successful but it does mean you're more likely to move towards what's meaningful for you.
We still need self awareness and analysis for growth but in a kind way.

This book 'The Spiritual Home' is an old one (2002) but one I still love πΏπ
I bought it when I was researching Taoism. I loved the simple, clean & nature inspired interior design. It helps relax my mind and inspired my own designs.
The blurb described this book as "a guide to creating a haven, a place of relaxation & a sanctuary that suits individual needs"

An Incongruency can be painful. It's the difference between reality and what we're expecting.
Counselling and Change Management are two key roles which support others through this discrepancy.

It's rare to have the chance to focus solely on your vision and purpose.
I often reflect on a concept from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: the idea of walking alongside your problems, negative views, and internal critic. This perspective acknowledges that interruptions and distractions are inevitable, and rather than waiting for a clear path, we should move forward co-existing with these challenges.
The image quote is from my book 'The Counselling Edition' page 42 & I'm grateful for the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors and The University of Notre Dame for their outstanding counselling training.
