🌥️SMALL wins = BIG impact☀️
🎉Celebrating small wins is important because it helps us to stay motivated and focused on our goals! 🎉
🌥️But how about those days when we're feeling super apathetic or down?
👆Think of the small things! 👆
👉When we achieve something, no matter how small, it gives us a sense of accomplishment and helps us to feel good about ourselves.
👉This positive feeling can help us to push through the more difficult tasks that we need to do.
So maybe we don't get naps and "good try" stickers anymore so it's up to us to be our own (and others) best cheerleaders!

🙃Stop the shame, instead, re-frame 👇
Instead of labeling yourself as "unfit," reframe your perspective and say, "I'm not unfit; this workout is just hard." By recognizing that the difficulty lies in the intensity or complexity of the workout, rather than in your inherent fitness level, you can shift the focus to the specific challenges you're facing and find ways to overcome them!
This encourages a growth-oriented mindset, emphasizing progress rather than fixed capabilities 💪
👉On the other hand, if you find that the workout is consistently too difficult to the point where you're discouraged or unable to enjoy it, it's essential to reassess your approach. Rather than pushing yourself through an overly challenging routine that leaves you feeling discouraged, ask yourself, "How could I make this exercise more tolerable?" This shift in mindset allows you to explore modifications, adjustments, or alternative exercises that still provide a beneficial workout while better aligning with your current abilities and preferences.
👉Lastly, it's important to remember that comparing your progress to someone else's can be detrimental to your own sense of fulfillment and happiness. Each person's journey is unique, and what matters most is your own growth and progress. Comparison often leads to a sense of inadequacy or dissatisfaction, robbing you of the joy you could derive from your own achievements. Instead of focusing on others, channel your energy into celebrating your milestones, setting realistic goals, and appreciating the progress you make along the way.
By adopting these perspectives, you can cultivate a mindset centered on personal growth, self-compassion, and the joy of pursuing your own journey without being overshadowed by comparisons to others.

Moving our body is essential to our health, much like drinking water, only when we're thirsty, we drink water, but if we're feeling crappy from not moving our bodies we ..well, continue not moving our bodies? 😑
And this is partly due to us not thinking it "counts" (well guess what, it does!)
Do yourself a favour and glance at your movement menu throughout the day, especially when feeling fatigued, antsy, or anxious and use it as a reminder that even small bursts of movement can be beneficial.

👇Read this if once you start, you just CAN'T STOP EATING👇
Sometimes you may feel like this and believe it has nothing to do with mood or coping (see my posts on emotional eating!)
But it could also be something else!
For when your basic needs are not being met, it’s going to be super hard to tune into your inner cues
Not only that, if you're intentionally or unintentionally restricting food, even just the thought
or threat of deprivation can send you to the cookie jar and to overeating
The one way to know for sure is by taking care of your needs and eating regularly first instead of simply relying on willpower or motivation to eat healthier foods
It is ok to use food to soothe on occasions, however using food to soothe only becomes a problem if it’s your ONLY coping mechanism
So let's build your coping toolbox as a very first step

When it comes to achieving optimal health, it's easy to get caught up in fad diets and the latest health trends. However, there are some simple and underrated practices that can make the greatest impact on our health.
👉Eating regularly is important to maintain a steady energy level throughout the day and prevent overeating due to extreme hunger, you're also more likely to gain adequate nutrition and variety by doing so
👉Paying attention to body cues, such as hunger and fullness, can help prevent overeating, improve digestion, and promote a healthy relationship with food. This may also mean noticing that you're struggling with your body cues and may not be able to rely on them (see my post "Can I Trust My Hunger Cues")
👉Including legumes, nuts, and seeds in your diet provides a good source of plant-based protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals that support overall health. This is often what people lack too! So if you're not having any of these currently, then watch out world!
👉Prioritizing protein at all meals can help support muscle growth and repair, reduce cravings, and promote feelings of fullness and satisfaction.
👉Staying hydrated is crucial for regulating body temperature, maintaining proper organ function, and promoting healthy digestion and metabolism...Also, aren't you sick of dehdration headaches? 😟
