Div 1 wrap up of round 3.....
This week we took on the demons.
They proved to be a good challenge for us with some consistent batting. After both teams failed to get across the plate in the first dig we went into the 2nd looking to continue our aggressive batting and base running. We got a 2 down rally going and put 5 across the plate to the excitement of the wolves spectators.
Our battery shut them down until the bottom of the 4th where the demons hit their own 2 down rally and got back 4 runs. After that we put our foot down with some impressive and strong batting and running to open up a commanding lead over the next couple of digs.
Our outfield were mowing them down as was Shelby watts at third to keep them at bay.
Coming into the last our battery were looking good until the demons bats once again lit up and started another 2 down late rally to put us under pressure.
In the end we ran out winner 14-10 in what was an entertaining game.
Thanks to Imogen & Kay from our B2 team for helping us out today.
Standouts for the day were Izzy Hardey, Lauren brown, Shelby watts and of course our battery Amy Mather and Ash Hale.
Next week we play jags in Friday night 7pm

Div 2 wrap up of their game......
This week our Division 2 girls took on carine cats.
The girls took the ‘W’ by mercy 12-0
The scoreline didn’t reflect the game. It was a tight tussle through the first few innings and runs were hard to come by. Our girls kept themselves in the game with tight defence and shut down a couple of loaded base innings.
Chloe swift lead the way in the middle with some solid pitching and was backed up by Ashton who was equally impressive. The team made the plays when needed and kept cool heads throughout the game.
Once the confidence grew the bats came to life with some fantastic hits and aggressive base running.
Bella Griffiths and Lucy Dormer were particularly impressive with the bats hitting some hard ground balls.
This young team has enormous potential and it will be exciting to see how their season progresses.
Good luck for the season girls, we all look forward to watching you in action throughout the year.
Next week we play Sirens at 11am
Div 1 wrap up from our coach Robbie Shaw.... 1st game of their summer season.
Yesterday our D1 team took on Carine for our opening game of the season.
With a couple of new faces and a new coach excitement levels were high.
It took a couple of innings to blow the cobwebs out of this talented team but once they hit the third innings they started to kick into gear and just exploded in the box and in defence.
The team piled on 15 runs to comfortably run away winners 15-4.
We cannot fault anyone on the diamond yesterday but a special mention to our battery
Amy Mather and Ash Hale who shut down any opportunities the cats thought they may have.
Everyone hit but Em Lucy’s infield home run on her return was a highlight.
Next week we play Demons at 3pm
