This is another familiar face! Midway through last year I uploaded a testimonial from Kim and how much progress she made in her time working with me!

🏋Well, after working together for nearly TWO YEARS Kim has managed to lose a whopping 40kg! You can see the differences in the picture and even the 40kg dumbbell for reference up front! Kim has been incredibly disciplined in her training and has achieved amazing result not only in her weight, but her strength and mental wellbeing. She also feels better in herself, fitter and able to keep up with her grandchildren!

📉You can see in the graph that just through the last year alone, Kim has had a steady decline in weight of almost 20kg. Just one year! Additionally, she has achieved over 150 sessions with me (I may have forgotten to save one or two 😅) and still aims to do even more.

💪Kim has been incredible to work with from the very beginning. She's always ready to give it her best and now she even asks me to push her even harder! Here's to having plenty more sessions Kim! You are a massive inspiration, well done!

What a wonderful at my first True Grit. Was happy to go with a team that stayed together (mostly 😅).

I would definitely do it again!

Just some gym with the siblings. They did well, I should have gone harder 😉

Testimonial from Trey!

"I was struggling with weight loss and learning the skills needed to keep active with exercise, but I was afraid of going to the gym, to be seen by others, working out in front of others. I suppose it was the fear of judgment. I then started doing personal training with Chris when I first entered Strength and Motion Academy, I had no idea what I would be doing and knew in myself that I needed guidance.

Working with Chris has helped me to take steps forward on my journey to be able to workout in a gym environment and have confidence in what I’m doing and committing myself to coming to the gym. It all came together the moment I came in for the first time by myself, not for a PT session, and realised that I can do this on my own!

SMA has a culture of community and I feel as though working with Chris, he really emphasises that culture as he approaches with a non-judgemental attitude and a heart to help those who have put their hand up for PT to start their journey. I would tell them that they will have the safest experience they could get with a gym and their PT."

Thank you for training with me Trey!

WEEK 3️⃣

Interesting results for week 3. A drop from 19.6% to 16.5% however there's a few factors at play.

I have changed the time in which I measure to the afternoon instead of the morning. So after a couple of coffees and meals, I'm unsure how accurate this number is. But I do like looking at it.

All in all, it was a strange week. A couple of injuries saw to it that my training was reduced to something akin to a deload week which may have been needed anyway as I was feeling depleted. No ParkRun was done, but managed a lengthily walk around Lake Monger with nice weather for some nice pictures.

Instead of the ParkRun, we kicked off SMA's 30 Day Challenge with some fierce competitors and ended the day off listening to Triple J's Hottest 100. With a cat.

WEEK 2️⃣
Unfortunately I'm back up to my starting %Body Fat which isn't fantastic but it's important to remember that the scales I use are an approximation and many factors can change that number. What's keeping me confident is my meal prep was better and my weight has dropped slightly.

Managed another Park Run again but being it was so hot, I was not as fast as I was before. Perhaps I can start running more in these 5km runs and try getting under 30 minutes.

The weekend is what let me down, one packet of Maltesers later and I'm sure that's what did the damage. However, I had myself some nice meals as well and overall was quite healthy. My lack of self control seems to be the issue. Temptations are everywhere.

Also been working on fixing my deadlift again with some rack pulls. So far, so good.

🏆Some big wins the last couple of weeks from some clients of mine. Wether it was with me or on their own, they were able to get themselves into the gym and record each of their sessions using the training app.

Some have achieved 25 sessions, some 50 sessions and others even 100 sessions! Incredible work by them!

No matter how many or how few workouts you do a week, consistency is key to achieving your goals. You simply just need to get in the door and start somewhere!

WEEK 1️⃣:
So far so good, I've come down a bit and managed to learn a few things.

I had forgotten to picture the result from the machine so I had to compromise. Over the weekend, managed to get my full training in and started running in the ParkRun. I have learned I am not a fan of running, but I do like the decreasing time through my efforts.

I meal prepped for the majority of the week but had found that the weekend and social obligations made it difficult, and so I enjoyed myself a waffle. 🧇

Let's see what week 2 has to offer.

Follow if you want to keep up with my journey.

Kaitlyn first entered the gym to improve her general fitness and increase her strength overall. The first steps of doing this are assessing our Big 6 movements. One of which is the hinge movement as shown above which is characterised as bending at the hips whilst keeping a straight back.

After a month of training with me, Kaitlyn has been able to perform the hinge movement, and after two months of training, was able to perform the hinge movement with ease and confidence. Now it’s become a part of her day to day life!

Thank you Kaitlyn for allowing me to help you on your journey!

This might be a familiar face! Earlier this year I released a testimonial from my now longest running client, Rohan!

🏋️‍♂️We have been training together for just over a year now and it has been incredibleto see Rohan get stronger, fitter and keep to the program to a point where he is now doing some very difficult and advanced programs to keep him in shape!

📷Take a look at the photo from Februrary, and the photo from December. What a massive change!

📉There is also all the data that Rohan has been collecting over his journey. The first graph shows the percentage body fat, percentage muscle mass and the percentage of his bone mass based on his weight. The second graph shows his body weight reduction over the year.

You can see that he has dropped an an incredible amount of body fat over the year and has completely changed his image. Simply fantastic!

Thanks for training with me Rohan!

Here’s a shoutout to another fantastic client of mine, Kim!

Kim came to me after being inspired by her own daughters' weight loss journey she decided to join the gym herself.

She started training with me to get some guidance with her strength and movement and has been progressing very well. Most notably, she is more confident with the Big 6 movement patterns coached to all my clients.

In the video, you can see the progression in her Hinging movement pattern (one of the Big 6), with better hip movement and knee positioning.

Thank you Kim for allowing me to be a part of your journey. Looking forward to the future!
