Between practising for the Skiff Nationals Bimdy has been driving the family RIB with her mum and sister. Took it to Elizabeth Quay.
She has a junior RST so is limited to 8 knots for now.

Asian Oppie championships are over now its time to change boats and get ready for the Open Skiff Nationals in Perth.
Bindy is borrowing a boat from her club and her sister Skippy has her own skiff as she started earlier in the year. Skippy won the Skiff intermediate state regatta in her first big race in skiffs. Bindy was 1st girl and 4th in Skiff states, would have been higher but for an error on the finish line

Apparently she's been making good starts but very light winds every burble of wind is vital and in Aus every time wind has been low like this they'd keep calling off races which does the kids no favours when they have to sail in a poor wind destination like this.

Light weather sailing. 5 knots if you are lucky, 32 C warm and very humid, smoggy, very poor air and water quality (evenocals are not touching the water!). On the plus side, 101 kids from 13 countries, friendships, independence (she stays in the hotel with her team mates, coach and team manager away from me), languages, laughs, food, diversity, part of an awesome community, experience of a life time. 👌
