Most women don’t need to train harder.
They want to push boundaries.
They want the summit.
They want the edge.
The problem isn’t ambition.
It’s design.
Most training systems weren’t built with female physiology in mind.
Hormonal shifts. Recovery bandwidth. Strength stability. Real life load.
So what happens when those variables are actually factored in?
You don’t get softer outcomes.
You get smarter progression.
More durability.
More consistency.
Higher ceilings.
Her Trails has evolved because the research has evolved.
And so have we.
We are constantly evaluating what actually serves her : not what tradition says should.
When you design for HER, you don’t lower the bar.
You raise it. 🙋🏽♀️

On the trail, the body doesn’t respond to pressure.
It responds to rhythm.
Push without listening and it pushes back.
Honour capacity and it adapts.
Energy is cyclical. Effort should be too.
There are seasons for load.
There are seasons for restraint.
Both build you.
When life feels heavy, choosing steadiness over strain isn’t weakness.
Resilience is not built in heroic bursts, but in repeated, measured responses to stress.
The trail teaches this quickly.
Heat shifts the plan.
Climbs demand composure.
Fatigue exposes habits.
You either force it: or you adjust.
And the same is true off the trail.
Longevity belongs to those who understand fluctuation.
Performance belongs to those who respect recovery.
Power belongs to those who work with their rhythm, not against it.
Endurance that we can trust is not about how hard you can go.
It’s about how long you can stay.
Choose rhythm.

Don’t chase perfect conditions.
Practise steady responses.
This is what we hope for at Her Trails.
LALA23 at Mt Buller wasn’t about chasing a time for Jen. It was rehearsal.
Heat. Climbing. A final ascent that stripped things back to breath and composure.
She tested her electrolyte strategy under stress.
She practised fuelling when appetite dipped.
She adjusted hydration as the temperature climbed.
She stayed steady when the course asked more than comfort.
That’s not just fitness.
That’s physiological literacy meeting self-awareness.
Because the trail will always change the conditions. And so will life.
The skill is not controlling the environment.
It’s regulating your response inside it.
Huge shout out to you, Jen. This is how we build toward UTA50... intelligently, deliberately, and with community behind you.
Buffalo Stampede next. then. UTA.

This is your gentle Friday night nudge Perth crew!
Yes, you could sleep in.
Or…
You could watch the sun rise over the coast
with a crew of women who get it.

Tomorrow we’re back out on the trails.
Our Sunday Her Trails community group runs are happening across multiple locations, bringing women together to move, connect, and start the day with intention.
These runs are not about pace or performance. They’re about rhythm, shared effort, and being outdoors with others who get it.
If you’ve been meaning to join, this is your sign.
And if you’d like to stay connected in a way that actually feels relevant to you, you can let us know what you want to hear about via our intentional connection link.
See you out there.

Training starts Monday 26 January.
16 weeks. One clear framework.
Designed for women who want to prepare with intention, not noise.

If UTA22 is on your calendar, this is your Sunday night reminder:
You don’t need to do more.
You need the right structure.

Group runs are back this weekend.
As we settle back into the rhythm of the 2026 season, Her Trails community runs are returning led by some local legends that we like to call Mavens. Women who know these trails, hold space, and quietly lead with by showing up.
Whether you’re new to running, returning after a break, or simply looking for connection through movement, these runs are about meeting yourself where you are.
No pressure. No pace expectations. Just shared trails, familiar faces, and a steady way back into rhythm.
To join, head to Her Trails, find your local run, and step into the WhatsApp group for details and updates.
