๐Ÿฅ—6 tips to make tracking easier..

for anyone that is just starting out with
tracking..I know! It can feel super overwhelming and a lot to get your head around at first..but trust me! itโ€™s worth the learning curve for the long term..

Learning how to track takes time ( just like any other skill). Its a great way to develop knowledge on the content of foods, portion sizes and will help develop your nutritional literacy.

Here are 6 tips to help anyone that might be struggling with this transition..

๐Ÿ”บ.. Log your meals ahead of time! ๐Ÿœ
this is a big one! and one that i ALWAYS see as peoples down fall. Set your day up for success! enter your meals ahead of time so that come the end of your day you havenโ€™t over stepped the mark with your calories, or forgotten to log something..

๐Ÿ”บ.. Aim to track your protein and calories to begin with.๐Ÿฅฉ
Once you have nailed this work into being more macronutrient focused.

3๏ธโƒฃ..Have your staple meals saved in your app! ๐Ÿ“ฒ
This makes it easy to add them in when building your plan for the day..

4๏ธโƒฃ.. Keep it simple! ๐Ÿณ
If you are only starting out try to avoid making meals that are far to complex! It can lead to many tracking errors. Keep basic structure with your meals and maybe just aim to swap out your snacks to begin with.

5๏ธโƒฃ..Eat similar meals for the week! ๐Ÿ›
You donโ€™t need to change up every meal every single day!

6๏ธโƒฃ.. Increase accuracy๐Ÿ“ˆ
Scan and double check barcodes when you can. Sometimes the nutritional information doesnโ€™t match up so be sure to double check! You can also can refer to search items under NUTTAB. -NUTTAB is the reference for the food database of food standards australia.

5 things that WONโ€™T help you achieve your goals:

1๏ธโƒฃ.. aiming for perfectionโŒ
Aim for progress over perfection, progress comes in all shapes and forms. Aiming for perfection prevents you from making meaningful progress!

2๏ธโƒฃ..constantly making excuses โŒ
learn to be stronger than whatโ€™s holding you back. Making excuses or blaming everything else except yourself and your own actions can be why your not achieving anything..

3๏ธโƒฃ.. playing the comparison game โŒ
Comparing yourself or your journey to other peoples journey isnโ€™t going to help you! Itโ€™s just going to create negative feelings/ headspace. Be ya own damn cheerleader! stop comparing yourself to other, instead refocus all that energy on how to become a best version of yourself..

4๏ธโƒฃ.. giving up when times get toughโŒ
If you continuously give up the moment things get tough, you will always stay in the same place! Pushing through challenging times is what helps us develop mental fortitude..

5๏ธโƒฃ..stressing about things that arenโ€™t within your control โŒ
Itโ€™s pointless complaining about things that you have no control over. Instead just focus on what you can control and that you have the power to change!

Honestly Robโ€™s work ethic is truely inspiring! Executes the plan on point! is always willing to put in the work.. Rob works FIFO lifestyle, balances family time when home. Life doesnโ€™t stop to be able to achieve results! It comes down to how willing you are to want to make change, adapt and grow! We have made sure that his training is an achievable structure for work/home life along with his nutrition..

Currently within dieting block and we ainโ€™t down yet! We manage to build intake to 42cals/kg/bw before commencing this block. Looking forward to seeing further results come the end of this phase..

Great work Rob! keep it up ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Down -5.1kg โฌ‡๏ธ

Consistently putting in the work with her nutrition despite some small set backs along the way. Andrea broke her ankle and was out of action for 6 weeks which made training/ driving ect.. very difficult. Throughout this timeframe Andrea still adhered to her nutrition and achieved great results..

Now back in action ๐Ÿ˜‰ thereโ€™s no stopping her! Great work Andrea! Keep it up ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I LOVE seeing the physical transformations over time from my clients, but LOVE even more hearing about what knowledge they have gained throughout their journey of working with meโ€ฆ

1๏ธโƒฃ..Having a much better relationship with food; no longer bingeing, not depriving myself of things and still being able to enjoy what I am eating.

2๏ธโƒฃ..Learning just how much of an effect poor eating habits have on other aspects of my health, sleep, mood etc.

3๏ธโƒฃ..That the process can be up and down and losing every single week may not happen but focusing on the overall progress is worth it.
