Another Mommy success story:

Like most mommy's out there in our busy world, yours may be smilar to mine. Over worked, tired, stressed, needs to lose weight, has high blood pressure, thyroid issues, and other health problems, the list goes on...

Over the past few months my mom had taken my lifestyle eating habits advice and she lost weight. About 15 llbs/7 kilos. Not bad considering it has stayed off and she doesn't do any exercise consistently. Like most, she wanted to lose more, but asking her to stress her body more with exercise when she is already stressed to the max is a no go... and the only thing you really want her to do is sleep, heal, and rest from being a mom, which is a job that never ends.

So what could should she do to maybe help lose weight or at least improve her health that made me SO happy I had to share?!

Here it is... my mom has been waking up tired every morning from since I could remember and coffee was her best friend. Although, I noticed it didn't really benefit her energy. I have known the benefits and harm coffee can bring a person but have always been encouraged to not be a bully to coffee addicts. I decided it was time to step things up a notch and make my mom realize her coffee habit wasn't improving her health because it only made it worse, it was so obvious she had adrenal fatigue and every possible 'fatigue' that exists. My mom was a little hesistant... so I said why not give it up for 60 days and I will do it with you (lucky for me, I don't drink coffee the way she does so it was a lot easier for me then her). Still she was a bit hesitant and then I told her about research that showed how coffee can increase your blood pressure... and then she got more convinced. She started the week with no coffee on a Sunday and a giy ftom her work told her he quit coffee to help lower hos blood pressure. She got mpre motivated. Two weeks go buy, she goes to the clinic to get her blood pressure and for the first time in YEARS it is 128! This is jaw droping as she has never seen it lower for years then 138/9 and it was an average of 140-160 depending over the past few years. My mom is filled with joy by taking on the coffee challenge now as it hasn't even been 30 days yet. She is less stressed, has lower blood pressure, and hopefully other areas of her health will slowly improve now with this small change. And to think I almost decided to NOT push her into doing this challenge because I felt I was being too bossy or pushy making her go cold turkey. I can assure you I am not now :)

I will keep you posted on her further progress. Feel free to share thebsiccess story to any coffee addicts out there who have high blood pressure! Of course many things can affect blood pressure but if something this small can help someone out... it's worth a try ;)

I was once one of those people who had a problem who went to the doctor to seek advice to come back with no success, and thought, there was no solution. My knee pain (if you knew me as a kid/teen you would know) affected me drastically as I got older. The doctors would tell me to stop being active and thought maybe I was doing too much. What was sad was how I really was only doing minimal, light activity, nothing drastic, no competitions or anything too strenuous. I became frustrated and interested in my problems because I wanted to not have the limitations that set me back. I went through a whole summer where I could not wear flip flops (omg you could just imagine how hard that would be for me to bare as you know I love them)! It was only when I started to get more educated about my body and developed more interest in my weaknesses did I end up understanding what my problems were and WHO with regards to specialists could I see to help reduce my pains and IMPROVE my overall condition for prevention. Key word, PREVENTION! Something that is not done enough in our world! The more educated I became and the more professional advice I received the more I became an expert at what was setting me back. My feet (as many of you know) affect me drastically, which affect my knees, which affect my ability to run, jump, and walk at times. I mention it a lot because it really is one of the most drastic and frustrating experiences I face. It demotivates me. It makes me feel doomed for fitness success. But I have come a long way. A long way to a more successful way of moving, jumping, and running. I am 100% better than before. But I had to seek advice to become successful. The knowledge did not come out of my ass or fall from the trees, I had to go after it. I had to want to learn and improve. I always will have my barriers, but it forces me to search for more improvements, education, and help. But I would not be where I am today if it were not for those specialists I saw who opened up the door to education and inspiration of my weaknesses within my body. I am so thankful and in return I enjoy sharing my knowledge and wisdom to those who have similar barriers.

I cannot stress anymore, but if you have a weakness, a set back, limitations, let that be your strength! Seek help from someone who specializes in where you need help. Learn from it and you will become the best that you can be! Like me, you will always have some weak points, as much as it can be demotivating, remind yourself how each new barrier can become a new chapter to learn from.

Sugar free perfection!
Low carb, sugar free, protein muffin - SIMPLE & you don't need fancy ingredients to make it!

Mix:
1/2 cup of coconut milk
1/2 cup of butter (full fat & salted - hell yea baby!)
2 eggs

Then add:
4 tbsp of cacao powder (maybe more if you like)
2 tbsp of maca powder
(I actually dropped a lot in by accident so then I added more cocoa powder to make up for it lol)
1 cup of Boomers concentrate protein powder (visit Expert Fitness to buy some)
1/2 cup of hazelnut meal
Stevia... 1-2 tsp (relative to you) ...I actually also put stevia tea inside which I think made a difference but if you don't have it just add more stevia. taste the batter before you cook it to make sure it's sweet enough to your liking

Then last but not least, mix a big handful of goji berries!

Bake at 150, until crisp, and then nom nom nom!
