Council backs brighter future for Parkerville Oval 💡

Exciting news for the Hills community, Council has formally supported the Parkerville Oval lighting upgrade and committed $446,065 to deliver the project.

The upgrade will see new night lighting installed at Parkerville Oval. This means football and cricket teams will be able to train and play games at night, enhancing facilities and allowing more teams to use the grounds safely and effectively.

The Shire also acknowledges the generous support of a private investor who has contributed to enhancing the lighting outcome.

Registrations and expressions of interest will be open for the U10 2026/2027 season with eligible players stepping up to Stage 1 format.
(Eligibility: Years 3 and 4 and strong younger players showing competent skills).
Stage 1 Games are played on Sunday mornings with one training session during the week.

Volunteers Needed 🏏
Coaches, Managers and parent volunteers are also needed next season to assist with teams and the smooth running of this development stage. If you are interested in one of these positions, please register your interest on the day too.

The U12 Green team did incredibly well with 4/336 (30 overs) - that’s an average of 11.2 runs an over 🤩

There were three standout batsman with 202 runs between them!

Mitchell Griffiths - 58* (11 x 4s)
Ben Wood - 59 (9 x 4s) - celebrating his first 50!
Max Borland - 85* (17 x 4s) - that’s got to be the record so far!!

Wow!! What an outstanding effort from Jarrah Bethune in our most recent Derby - a phenomenal 86 not out off 50 balls!
Not only did he claim his half-century, he smashed it out the park with 5 x 6s and 11 x boundary-seeking 4s!
I’ve done the math everyone - that’s 74 of his total runs off 16 balls!
Top that (can you even??) - he also got 2 catches and 1 run out!
