Whilst cruising around Australia, the owner of this magnificent 50 FT catamaran called into Fremantle to explore the area and have the big blue catamaran checked over and serviced by Diverse Engineering and Fibrelite Boats. 🌊
🛥Setting sail for Rottnest, they arrived in one of the beautiful bays only to have their adventure go a little awry when the catamaran’s anchor dragged and she collided with another boat anchored in the bay.
The damage wasn’t catastrophic, but it was serious and extensive.
Two holes were punctured through the catamaran’s starboard side; one almost a metre square, and whilst there was also quite extensive damage to the interior, fortunately, all the damage was above the waterline!
The damage to the other boat, luckily, was minor.
With the cat back in Fremantle for repairs, our extensive experience and expertise in the repair of composite and fibreglass hulls was called upon.
With the boat out of the water, the cracked and damaged interior and exterior hull material was removed and the full extend of the damage was evident.
Ongoing repairs were required to both the hull and dagger boards, in addition to a repaint and antifoul.
☀️ All’s well that ends well....
The big blue catamaran returned to Fremantle Sailing Club good as new, and is all ready to continue her cruise around Australia.
We wish them luck on the rest of their voyage! 👋🏼

GAMEX 2019! 🐟 🎣
Having worked for years with competitors entering Gamex, it was our pleasure to prep our client Shane Anderson’s Cabo 32 Vanquish ready for their quest for gold this year! 🏆
Last year we had the privilege of prepping the winner of the billfish competition Dave Thomson’s Azura; who with an experienced and talented team always have great success at Gamex. We have no doubt we will see some great results from our clients this year too!
Gamex is undoubtably an amazing experience for all involved; but planned correctly the trip up to the competition is arguably just as exciting.
Vanquish may be a smaller boat, but that certainly didn’t stop them from making their journey up to the competition a trip to remember.
Leaving Fremantle Vanquish made its way up the coast stopping off to enjoy a number of the amazing locations WA’s coastline has to offer; and just goes to show that you don’t need to have a huge vessel to really get out and amongst it! 🌊
Stopping off at the Abrolhos for a few days they also enjoyed stop overs at Steep Point, Denham, Cape Cuvier and the stunning Norwegian Bay, fairing extremely well on their week long journey up to Exmouth! The photos of the trip as you can see look AMAZING! 👀
All of us at Fibrelite Boats wish Shane Anderson on Vanquish, Dave Thomson on Azura and everyone else heading up to Exmouth the best of Luck in the coming weeks! 🍀

Pimp my Cruise Craft 🤩
It’s always great to achieve the seemingly unachievable! 🙌🏻
Before heading off on his northern fishing trip this clever Cruise Craft owner prepared for success by getting some truly jaw dropping electronics installed! 🐠
Fitting enough electronics to fit out a 60ft boat, this PIMPED UP CRUISE CRAFT was an incredibly enjoyable project that provided amazing results and great pictures at 25 knots.
In addition to a Furuno 2kw 38hz and 2kw 200hz wet faced pocket mount Transducer, this owner went all in with a Furuno FCV 1150, Furuno TZTL12 multifunction Chart Plotter, Satellite Compass, Radar System, Auto Pilot, Zip Wake Auto Trim Tab System and a new dash to suit along with a new canopy and clears!
This killer package resulted in one happy client who was delighted with his new electronics system.

Not all boats are the same, but all boats deserve GREAT RESULTS!
⛵️🛥 🚤⛴
Here at Fibrelite Boats we are committed to working around any physical issues and constraints to make your boating wishes come true!
We know that what will work on one boat won't always work on another.
That's why we are experienced in modifying and tailoring our systems to overcome any psychical constraints to achieve the BEST RESULTS possible no matter what boat you own! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A great example of this, is this Saltwater PMY 25 we worked on recently. 👇🏽
Due to the outboard being mounted on a pod, in this instance our popular Fibrelite Transom Mount Transducer system was not a viable option.
Instead we chose an in hull wet faced application. A water tight cavity was created in the hull to house the transducer and it was mounted with its face exposed to the water, flush with the contours of the hull.
This allowed a larger transducer to be installed providing a more powerful system for the client and ensured even better sounder performance.
Thinking about adding a Transducer system to your boat?

🛥 SMOOTH SAILING 🛥
When the owner of this beautiful Salthouse 68 realised he could maximise his enjoyment out on the water by reducing the roll of the boat; he approached Fibrelite Boats to help him to achieve this goal through the installation of an ABT - TRAC stabiliser system.
Installation was completed in 2 stages.
1️⃣ Initially work began strengthening the Hull with up to 50mm thick resin infused laminates and water tight compartments being installed in the actuator locations.
2️⃣ The second stage saw the stabilising fins and their actuators fitted along with hydraulic power packs and control systems installed into very confined areas.
The new stabilizer system was commissioned without fault and minimizes the roll of the boat remarkably whilst underway and at rest.
The owner and his family are now enjoying cruising the North West; and we are advised that the stabilisers are amazing! 👍🏼

⛵️Ronja's Journey⛵️
Having spent over 2 weeks at sea, we are happy (and relieved) to report Ronja has made it safely to Opua in the Bay of Islands, East Coast of New Zealand with a million stories to tell! ⭐️
With some hair raising experiences under her belt including hand-steering her boat into 60 + knots winds, battling 9m swells from all directions and surfing down 6m waves with water up to her hips; there were points in this adventure where in her own words she simultaneously experienced her biggest nightmare and biggest dream!
Having spent periods of up to 48 hours with no sleep or food battling severe weather conditions and storms, we hope Ronja gets some well deserved rest and hot meals inside of her! 🍴
A massive congratulations Ronja - in her early 20's this lady really is a force to be reckoned with! 👊🏽
It's the end of this adventure but we have no doubt that there will be many more to come! 👣
