Derby v Blues

The Blue Machine are on the road for the second time this week, now we face John Eustace Rams

Derby have had our number in recent times but a terrible start to the season and this is a game on the road we should be winning.

Blues need to start turning draws into wins and we will see ourselves go up the table, a dodgy offside midweek left us with defeat but today is the day we wipe that away and go and grab 3 points.

A few injury concerns for the Blues we really do miss Solis in the middle, Iwata and Paik are just too lightweight for this league.

Today, I believe the Blues will win and hopefully in a big way. I never mind a draw away from home, but with Derbys record this season. This is certainly one that we have to win.

Norwich v Blues.

The Blue Machine makes the long trip east to go hunting for some Canaries!

I'm not sure which Einstein organises the fixtures, but this is a diabolical mid-week fixture that yet again doesn't consider the fans.

Norwich has had an indifferent start to the season, with a couple of big wins, one coming at the weekend. A few injuries, but they'll be looking to build on the weekend's win.

Blues were unlucky not to beat Wolves at the weekend. Unbeaten in the league this season, however, we need to start winning games and put the knife into our opponents.

Long way to travel mid-week, and after a big few games against promotion candidates, will it take its toll on the Blues tonight?

I'd be happy to keep the unbeaten run going with a draw, but I'd love to see us flex our muscle tonight and bag the win.

Blues v Southampton,

The Blue Machines rolls back into fortress St Andrews and the Saints will be marching home with no points and their binoculars in hand.

Massive win Friday night for the Blues, all the naysers went into retreat and rejoiced at Chris Davies and the boys in Royal Blue.

Spy Gate Saints will be one of the strongest teams to come to St Andrews this season, one of the early favourites to go up this season. A high pressing, attacking team, who have a goal for eye, we need to be at our best to nullify their attack.

Blues turned it around on Friday, unbeaten in the league in August. Surely that is a good start to the season? Questions asked of Jay, but I think we are changing our style to a big man leading the attack and an emphasis on set pieces. So where does this leave Jay and how do we get the best out of him whilst playing Friske?

Tough game tonight, again I would be happy with a draw but something tells me though we could get a last gasp goal and take all 3 points.

Wrexham v Blues.

Pack your passports - The Blue Machine are heading to Wales to tame some Red Dragons. Massive Friday night game of football on the cards.

Blues need an instant reply after being blown away midweek. Wrexham, identical to us at the moment, with 2 draws, 2 goals, and 2 goals conceded. Wrexham are a tough team to beat at home; the Racecourse is not a nice place to go to!

Blues need to be more ruthless today; we have looked a bit weak at times this season so far and don't look clinical in front of goal whatsoever. I think changes need to be made in the middle of the park and on the wings - crying out for a number 10, someone who wants to get the ball and drive it forward.

Tough game tonight; I would take a draw all day long, but with the crows circling the gaffer and squad at the moment, I think it's important the gaffer and players put in a big shift and bring home the 3 points.

Blues v Brentford

The League Cup comes to St Andrews and it is up to the Blue Machine to stop the sting in the Bees!

We actually have a very good record against Brentford, our last lost to them was way back in 2018, since then we have had 2 wins and 4 draws.

Brentford what can we say, they looked absolutely phenomenal at the weekend. Massive praise to this small club that have really raised the bar in English football to how far a tam can go on a compete with a smart business model.

Blues frustrations from the weekend need to be erased as Brentford will punish us. Will Davies move Stansfield back in the central role? If he does where does that leave Priske. We need to be on the front foot today, I would prefer to lose playing attaching direct football than tippy tappy 60% football.

Premier League opposition on the big occasions we have generally seen Blues play their best football so will we see another beast tonight?

Personally, I think we will be eliminated from the cup tonight, but I am looking forward to seeing how the team react to a superior team and if we can raise the bar.
