C4S is an on-demand web-based solution to run and manage school canteens in a way smarter than ever before, specifically designed for Australian schools.
We are Australian parents of school-going children and we understand the challenges of an average young Australian family. We want to provide the best for our children. We want them to eat healthy food in the school, whether they use the school canteen or take lunch from home. While school canteens in Australia offer nutritious food and drinks, using it often poses some challenges. Finding out the
hard copy menu card that came around few months ago, writing our choice on a piece of paper or envelope, organising the exact change in today’s plastic-money world, and then living with the anxiety if the little one will remember to hand the order over to the canteen in time. We feel it’s all too hard. There must be a better and easier way of doing it. We live in this community. The school our children attend to is an important and critical part of the community. We are the parents and citizens who want our school to offer the best of facilities for our children to have the best learning experience. School canteens run by P&C Associations does that for us as the surplus generated goes a long way to support the school in providing our children a better learning experience. However running the school canteen often proves to be too much of a challenge. Estimating the number of children that will turn up in the morning looking for food, making our best guess at the inventory we need to carry often leading to either wastage or shortage, handling the daily cash inflow, printing hundreds of menu cards every time we make even minor change and then hoping that ordering parent won’t pick up an old menu to look at. We feel it’s all too hard, especially with a bunch of parent-volunteers from amongst us. There must be a better and easier way of running it. Canteen4Schools, or C4S, is a tool that provides us, parents, convenience to order from the school canteen with few clicks using a cashless system when we wish, often days and weeks in advance. It’s a tool that enables us, parents and citizens managing the school canteen, to manage it more efficiently, reduce wastage, avoid shortages, work out inventory, forget about printing menu cards and worrying about multiple versions in circulation, reduce cost and help the school more. C4S is our solution to make our life a bit easier.
