The Dragon Boating WA community wishes Daniel Foucar, Open's Captain for Australia the greatest success at the 15th Asian Dragon Boat Championships this Friday-Sunday in Hong!
Before this campaign, Daniel represented the Auroras (Australian Dragon Boat Team) eight times and competed in the World Cup three times.
Daniel was asked, What does the captaincy mean to you? - "I have had some amazing captains over the journey who were all great leaders and great athletes, and I hope to follow in their footsteps. Being captain means being able to build up my teammates and help them to be the best that they can be. I want to lead by example on and off the water. I want to lift up others to achieve our best as a team. We have some great athletes on the team who are passionate about representing Australia with pride, and I am honoured to lead them."
