ANNOUNCEMENT | Team Australia is heading back to the Genuine Cup in Houston!

We're proud to announce our 14 players — selected from Broome, Bunbury, Victoria and Perth — who'll represent Australia at this year's tournament for athletes with intellectual disability and autism.

This is more than a squad announcement. It's proof of what's possible when the door to sport is opened for everyone.

Football Futures Foundation is proud to announce our return to the Genuine World Cup in Houston, Texas in 2026 🏆⚽️

From 27 July to 2 August, players with intellectual disability and autism will have the opportunity to represent their community and country on an international stage.

This tournament is about more than football. It is about inclusion, belonging, confidence, visibility and creating opportunities that many players would not otherwise have.

We are also excited to announce our 2026 leadership team travelling to Houston, and acknowledge the volunteers, families, partners and supporters who continue to make opportunities like this possible.

Soccer stars set for world stage In a landmark event for WA sport, a team of local soccer players with intellectual disabilities are set to represent Australia on the world stage for the first time in history.
