Yellow Fever has claimed back to back championships titles last Sunday after defeating The Other Team by 10 x 2!!!
Yellow Fever is a team of Brazilians friends residents in Perth, Western Australia and all they wanna Bloody aussies! We also didn’t have a name for the team.
Once upon at time…
There was a group of friends originally from Brazil living a while in Australia, a place far faraway from their home country. Every time they caught-up for drinks or anything they talked about football or how badly they wanted to play football. It happened because in Australia people play a different kind of football, a weird one by the way. They play on an oval pitch, with an

Superb Yellow Fever takes down the premiers!
Yo Febre fans!
Yellow Fever has proved once again to be on top of their game after claiming their 8th straight victory and defeating 5% Crushed Lemons on this week’s clash. The Febre remains undefeated on the search for its maiden championship title.
Despite the great moment of the Fever in the season, this away game wouldn’t be an easy one for the Febre as they would have to face the Lemons on its home ground. Secondly but not last, because of a very long and overwhelming trip to the “Lemonland”, Court 3. “Mate… the supporters here are like animals! They even tried to keep me out of the game sticking a chewing gum between the bench and my shorts!” – Alex declared. Third and not less important, it was the fact of the match time being set for very late in the night. Due an agreement between Globe TV and Reynard Sports for the live TV transmissions the game had to start after 10pm.
Excuses a side it was time for action! And we had a lot this week. The Lemons started the game determined not to give any spaces for the Febre to play. It was unbelievable how fast they were running putting the Fever players under pressure. Game remained tied up with both teams focused on the defense. YF players couldn’t get through the Lemons defenders so they chose to use long distance kicks. Febre got close to score with Fabz but he wasn’t just getting right. On the other side, the Lemons almost scored twice but Iiitttooo saved the Fever.
A small lack of concentration could make the difference on games such as this. Eladio took his chance kicking from a long range. The ball hit the Lemons defender and bounced right onto Fabz feet. He did not hesitate and fired a rocket kick straight into the top corner, goaaalll 0 x 1. Lemons could have taken the equalizer just before the first half ended but Iiitttooo kept the Febre on the lead.
Second half started and the Lemons were getting tired. They could not keep up with the same defending pressure as they did at the beginning of the match. However, Lemons players knew they had to go after the victory or they would find the Fever launching a long way ahead into the season’s lead.
Febre players were getting a few free spaces and it was time to seal the deal. Vitor left two defenders behind and scored the goooaaalll dislocating the goalkeeper with a light touch, 0 x 2.
It was the goal the Febre need to take control of the game but it didn’t last long. The Lemons find their goal and the game was on again, 1 x 2. At this stage the game result was unpredictable. The Lemons was all attack and the Febre was trying to fing a breach to liquidate the match.
Eladio got the ball, passed by two defenders and touched to Vitor. He quickly returned to Eladio, who left another defender behind and lower cross the ball back to Vitor. This magnificent move couldn’t end up any better when Vitor backed heel the ball to the back of the net. What a brilliant goooaaalll, 1 x 3.
The Lemons players didn’t gave up and trough themselves up to the attack looking for the equalizer. And they were rewarded when their striker broke through scoring their second goal, 2 x 3.
At this stage the game scenario was the Lemons all to the attack and all Yellow Fever players defending the lead no matter what. All the Febre players wanted was to keep the ball away from their goal. And the relief came with the final whistle. Yellow Fever has taken the champions down!
What a glorious football match! Definitely worth the ticket price!
Thanks to the Febre supporters that came along in this trip to the Lemonland.
See you next time

“Brave Yellow Fever takes another victory”
Yo Febre family!
Yellow Fever has claimed its 7th victory in a row after defeating the Gormanators on last Wednesday night’s big clash.
The Febre had to go for the game with only one player on the bench. Vitor has gone on a search for a “happy ending” trip to Bali and Thailand. And Marcos is in a Top Secret mission in Japan. An anonymous source says he may be spying the country getting important information for the North Koreans. “Yep, I’ve taken over 12000 photos but it all for tourist proposes” – Marcos posted on Facebook.
From the beginning of the clash the Febre couldn’t keep the same game standards played in the last matches letting the Gormanators to have total control of the game. Fever defenders were lost in court leaving lots of empty spaces. The other team was easily involving them. And when with the ball possession Yellow Fever was unable to create any chances of scoring a goal. It was the perfect scenario for the Gormanators to set the first loss for the Febre.
First half was heading for a Yellow Fever disaster but somehow the scoreboard remained clear. Gormanators players failed to convert any of many opportunities created. Mostly happened because their players were too flustered and haven’t managed to put the ball at the back of the net. “We gotta improve our game. We were very luck of not conceding any goals. First half could have been a disaster for us!” – Alex said at half break time.
Second half started with the same story. The only difference was at this time Yellow Fever’s luck had a name. Iiitttooo!!! Gormanators were trying all they could but Iiitttooo was saving the Febre. They could score once… twice… three times but Iiitttooo saved them all. The Fever goalkeeper was like a concrete wall defending the team. The big moment experienced by Iiitttooo has pushed the Febre players forward and on a beautiful counter-attack Fabz let a defender behind and cross-kicked to the goooaaalll, 1 x 0. Yellow Fever took the lead but it didn’t last long. This time Iiitttooo nothing could do to stop the ball. Great move by the Gormanators player and he set the equalizer, 1 x 1.
The goal encouraged the Gormanators players to attack even more. They were thirsty for the victory but Iiitttooo saved the Febre one more time… and again!!! Game started to look better for the Febre when after another great counter-attack Fabz put Yellow Fever ahead, 2 x 1. The second goal gave a little confidence for the Yellow Fever who managed to take advantage of the nervous moment lived by the Gormanators. The Febre was under massive pressure with a series of corner-kicks given when Eladio pushed a counter-attack. He passed the ball to Cavalca who quickly returned it to Eladio. There was no one to stop him… he kicked and gggoooaaalll!!! 3 x 1 for the Febre!
What a game! Gormanators players couldn’t believe. The only thing lasting for them was to throw them to the attack and try to score a goal. And so they did. Yellow Fever had no more power to attack and all the players could do was to defend at all costs the great result they were taking home. The pressure paid off for The Gormanators. After a throw-in and little defense fail, they got their second goal and the game was on again, 3 x 2.
Gormanators kept trying till the last second but The Febre bravely contained the pressure and claimed the victory. Massive result for the Fever after a great game!
Well-done boys!!! That is the spirit!!!
Special mention to the super-keeper Iiitttooo!!! What a great game he had! Literally saved the team!
Next week we have another massive clash against 5% Crushed Lemons. Bring it on Yellow Fever!!!
Thanks everyone, see you all net time!

Yo Fever fans!
So much has happened since our last weekly report. Starting with an anonymous request asking for the Yellow Fever to be upgrade to a higher grade. And finishing after long hours of meetings and negotiations between Lords’ chief executive Jason and the Yellow Fever’s captain Fabz. Both have agreed that Yellow Fever will remain in the Grade E until the end of the current competition. “It was the right thing to do. We could not take advantage of turning tables (?!!! Hahaha!!!) to make our way to the top Grade” – Fabz commented.
With everything set on the right place it was time for Yellow Fever to get back into action this time playing against a very promising young team called Lichuid Henjineeiring.
Match started with Febre taking total control of the ball possession with players doing a very good job passing the ball around from one player to another. However this time they were failing in having a crack on the goal. With more then halftime past Yellow Fever hadn’t given a single kick on goal. There was something missing and that little detail could put the Febre into the lead. A few more minutes past and Marcos finally broke trough finding the way to back of the net, 1 x 0 and Yellow Fever was in front. Lesson learnt and the Febre didn’t take long to double up with Marcos scoring his second goal and giving a little relief for the Fever players, 2 x 0. But, the young guns didn’t feel the hit and seconds before the halftime they scored their first goal, 2 x 1.
Second half started and Fever players knew they had to score more goals or they could suffer the consequences later in the game. The opposite team was full of youngsters with enough energy to run two marathons in a roll! With that in mind Febre players started to attempt to score using long-range kicks. And one of the tries Fabz beat the goalkeeper scoring the third, 3 x 1. Unfortunately for the Febre team the brave young boys didn’t give up and came back scoring another goal, 3 x 2.
Yellow Fever players were getting tired and they knew they could not waste any chances or they could loose the clash. Lichuid Henjineeiring goalkeeper was a giant under the bars doing anything he could to stop the Febre players from scoring. After a few attempts a great counter attack came together for the Febre and this time the goalkeeper nothing could do to stop Fabz from scoring, 4 x 2. The victory started to take its shape with three more goals to be scored by Alex, Vitor and Marcos, 7 x 2. There was still remaining time for the young fellas to score another goal after a nice move from their players, 7 x 3, and that was the final result.
“We got right at the end. But we gotta admit this young guys are very promising. They may cause a few upsets in this tournament” – Alex declared.
Yellow Fever remains unbeatable winning all six games out of six. What will happen next, will the Gormanators be able to stop the Febre? What is gonna be the outcome of the next week’s game? Wait and see!
Thanks for all the Yellow Fever supporters!
See you next time.

Yo Fever people!!!
Another week has past and Yellow Fever keeps showing no mercy against its opponents. The last match’s victim was “Wednesday Night Hot Boys”. The Febre has now three wins out of three games and this solid start has been demonstrating all the strength and determination of the team in the search for their first ever season title. “We are very focus in this tournament. We will not rest till we win the trophy” – Ito declared.
For the third time in a row the Fever came for the game with no subs in the bench. Players knew they had to play smart or they could suffer to keep up with the game pace till the end of the clash. Match started and WNHB got their first goal seconds after with a lucky moment and a very rare attempt to score they let Yellow Fever behind, 0 x 1. The goal suffered only gave extra motivation for the Febre players. They took control of the game and not long after they found the equalizer, 1 x 1. Febre could have taken the lead but it wasted the chance when WNHB had only four players in court. Back with full squad in the game WNHB nothing could do to stop the great momentum experienced by the Yellow Fever. The comeback came with a great goal scored by Fabz after passing by a defender, 2 x 1. Febre was playing very nicely and they scored the third goal just before the half time, 3 x 1.
Second half started and the story of the first time was repeated. WNHB scored their second, 3 x 2. But Yellow Fever didn’t give them time to celebrate and Fabz went for total glory scoring his fourth goal in the game, 4 x 2. Playing with total control of the game the Febre wanted to score more goals and taking advantage of a counter attack Vitor extend the lead with a beautiful kick, 5 x 2. The Fever could have gone even further but it wasn’t Eladio’s night of scoring a goal. No matter what trick he tried the ball just didn’t get into the goal. In different scenario was Alex. In a surprising run to the attack he found the back of the net giving Yellow Fever a well deserve triumph, 6 x 2. “I save my strength for the right time. It might be once a month but when it happens I assure you it is fatal!” – Alex said after the game.
“Our boys are playing really well. Everyone is giving that extra bit necessary to help the team” – Fabz said in the after match press conference. The fact is Yellow Fever found the right game standard that suits the team perfectly. We know that football is unpredictable but it will be hard to defeat the Febre if they keep the high level game they have played so far in the competition.
Thanks all the supporters for coming along in the matches.
See you all next time.
