So I'm thinking of doing a 'guess the number of tiles in the tray' competition! I've cut that many!!! Busy creating 'mosaic tiles' for this afternoon's class. Great idea (thank you Pinterest!) of using styrofoam sheets, painted then cut into tiles!! And for our canvas....thick styrofoam sheets!! No buckling, can use both sides & we may even stick a few pins of sequins in there!!!

I loved what the girls created with mixed media on canvas this week. I'm sure you'll agree! Check out what they created for trick or treating last week! They say they can now use it as a pencil case! The week prior to that they sewed some beautiful fabric Yo-yo flowers to go in their painted plant pots. They all did fab from the just-turned-7 year old to the 11 year old!

Well as the horse has already bolted (ha ha) there'll be no Melbourne Cup hat-making in today's class. We'll be getting our crafty-hats on though creating a mixed media canvas using scrap booking paper, material, paint, pens, doilies, buttons....the list goes on and anything goes!!! Can't wait to see their imaginations on canvas!
