๐โจ Kungfu Paddle Pickleball Club Christmas Dinner 2025 โจ๐
On 19 December 2025, the Kungfu Paddle Pickleball Club wrapped up the year in the best way possible โ with great food, great company, and plenty of festive cheer at Jack Pot Cafe, Thornlie Square.
The night was a feast for the senses. Members were treated to a mouth-watering spread featuring the restaurantโs signature dishes, including the crowd-favourite Assam Fish Wings, comforting Braised Tofu, the rich and flavourful Nine Treasures Duck, and many other delicious delights. Every dish was a winner and had everyone going back for more!
True to the Christmas spirit, members came dressed in festive attire, filling the room with colour, laughter, and holiday vibes. The highlight of the evening was the Best Dressed Awards, with Callum taking the title for Best Dressed Male and Tracy shining as Best Dressed Female โ both fully embracing the Christmas spirit ๐

Fun and friendly competition continued with a Pickleball Quiz, where each table battled it out with their knowledge of the game we all love. Congratulations to Table B โ Wendy, Arvin, Alexis, Sumitra, Indran, Dawn, Vidya, Felicia, and Philip โ who took home the prize with the highest number of correct answers ๐.
The night was filled with smiles, laughter, and wonderful fellowship, reminding us that Kungfu Paddle is not just about the sport, but also about the community and friendships we build along the way.

Kungfu Paddle Pickleball Club Vintage DUPR Tournament (3.0 and above)
The Kungfu Paddle Pickleball Club Vintage Tournament was successfully held on Sunday, 7 December 2025, at the beautiful Whaleback Golf Course, delivering an afternoon filled with competitive play, sportsmanship, and nostalgic fun.
Starting at 2:00 pm, six teams took to the courts armed with traditional wooden paddles, embracing the spirit of vintage pickleball. Under a bright and sunny sky, conditions were perfect for an exciting contest, and every team was thoroughly tested on their pickleball skills, strategy, and adaptability.
Despite the simplicity of the wooden paddles, the standard of play was impressive. Long rallies, clever shot placement, and teamwork were on full display as players adjusted to the unique feel and control required by the classic equipment. The friendly yet competitive atmosphere kept spectators engaged throughout the afternoon.
After a series of closely contested matches, the tournament concluded with well-deserved winners. To secure the championship, the players showcased consistency, strong communication, and excellent court coverage.

๐ Kungfu Paddle Pickleball Club โ November DUPR Tournament Weekend at Whaleback Golf Course
The first weekend of November was packed with energy, competition, and camaraderie as Kungfu Paddle Pickleball Club (KPPC) hosted its much-anticipated DUPR Fixed Partner Tournaments at Whaleback Golf Course.
Over two exciting days โ Saturday, 1st November and Sunday, 2nd November 2025 โ players from across the community gathered to test their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship on the courts.
๐พ Day 1 โ DUPR 3.0 and Below Division
Saturday saw our DUPR 3.0 and below players take to the courts with enthusiasm and determination. For many, it was their first taste of a competitive format, and the atmosphere was electric! Despite some nervous starts, the matches quickly turned into showcases of clever d***s, thrilling volleys, and great teamwork.
After a full day of intense and exciting games, here are our medal winners:

Sunday brought out the higher-rated 3.1 and above players, and the intensity ramped up. Spectators were treated to fast-paced rallies, powerful smashes, and strategic plays that showcased the best of competitive pickleball.

๐ Kungfu Paddle Pickleball Clubโs Spectacular Halloween Night!
On 30th October, the courts at Cannington Leisureplex were glowing with Halloween magic as KPPC members gathered for a night of laughter, costumes, and friendly games.
Players arrived dressed to impress โ or to scare! From playful, spooky and creative characters, the court was filled with colour, energy, and plenty of Halloween cheer. Even with masks and capes flying, everyone brought their best game and kept the rallies lively.
Between matches, there were smiles all around, as players snapped photos and enjoyed the fun atmosphere. The Halloween night wasnโt just about pickleball โ it was about celebrating community, creativity, and the joy of playing together.
The best dressed prize awards went to our members Callum and Sarah. A huge thank-you to everyone who dressed up and joined the fun! ๐๐โจ

Kungfu Paddle Pickleball Menโs 50+ Doubles โ Bronze Medal Winners! ๐ฅ
Kungfu Paddle Pickleball is proud to celebrate our menโs doubles 50+ team, Kirk and Gary, who represented the club at the South River Scramble tournament held at the Mike Barnett Sports Complex in Rockingham on Sunday, 14th September 2025.
With grit, teamwork, and a love for the game, Kirk and Gary battled through tough competition to bring home the Bronze Medal. Their achievement is a testament not only to their skill but also to the spirit of Kungfu Paddle Pickleballโshowing that passion and perseverance always pay off.

โ๏ธ Success of Our First DUPR Social Pickleball at Whaleback!
Sunday, 10 August 2025, was a milestone to remember for Kungfu Paddle Pickleball as we hosted our very first DUPR Social Pickleball at Whaleback Golf Course.
The weather couldnโt have been more perfect โ a bright sunny day with just the right amount of breeze, setting the scene for an afternoon of competitive rallies, laughter, and great community vibes.
Players of all levels came together to test out the DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) system in a friendly, social format. For many, it was their first time experiencing DUPR, and the feedback was fantastic โ players loved how it kept matches fun, balanced, and engaging for everyone.
Beyond the scores and matches, the true highlight was the spirit of pickleball shining through. From high-energy games to sideline cheers, to post-match chats under the sun, it was a wonderful reminder of why our community continues to grow stronger week after week.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to play and support our first DUPR social session. Your energy and smiles made the day a huge success, and we canโt wait to build on this momentum for future events. We have already started our weeknightsโ DUPR social sessions.
