📣 OFFICIAL CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT | SHANE DINEEN TO LEAD NEFC INTO 2027
After an unforgettable 2026 campaign, Noranda Emerald is thrilled to confirm that Shane Dineen will continue as Head Coach for the 2027 season.
Shane has been instrumental in the Emeralds’ sustained success over recent seasons, and in his first year at the helm, he guided Noranda Emerald to State League status at the first time of asking.
Now, with that achievement secured, Shane has earned the opportunity to lead the Emeralds into the next chapter — State League 2 in 2027.
Reflecting on the season and looking ahead, Shane said:
“What my group of lads achieved this year was unreal. We were very clear on our goals at the start of the year, and to hit all of them was unbelievable.
“I’m extremely grateful to have worked alongside Gerry throughout the season. His support, experience and contribution were massive, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to work alongside.
“I’d also like to thank Josh for his support, particularly in helping us close out the season. To finish the year with promotion and cup success is something everyone involved in the club should be incredibly proud of.
“This club I hold very close to my heart, and all the success throughout the club this season highlights the incredible work people throughout the club are putting in.
“I’m extremely excited for what next season brings.”
The hard work continues, the ambition remains, and the NEFC is ready to embrace the challenge of State League 2.
Join us in congratulating Shane on an outstanding 2026 season and celebrating his continued leadership as we build towards an exciting 2027 campaign.
The next chapter starts now.
