Members will receive multiple reminder emails when their expiry is approaching informing them of their auto renewal, to opt out of auto renewal:

- Open the Basketball Connect App & Log In
- Tap More in the bottom right
- Got to My Profile - parents may need to switch profile at the top to pause their child's membership
- Go to My Membership
- Scroll to the right on your membership and tap the 3 dots under action, then Opt Out of Auto-Renewal

BASKETBALL NSW LAUNCHES FLEXIBLE MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS IN 2026 | A FIRST FOR THE SPORT IN NSW

Basketball NSW is proud to announce a game-changing advancement for our community. Starting January 2026, participants across the state will have the choice of 6-month or 12-month memberships, offering more flexibility than ever before and marking a first for basketball in NSW.

While basketball is played year-round, we recognise that not everyone participates for 12 straight months. Our new membership model reflects how people engage with the game today and empowers players and families with more choice to suit their lifestyle.

We’re also excited to introduce another industry first: 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 ‘𝐧’ 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲.

Available to members who pay via the Basketball Connect app, Pause ‘n’ Play allows eligible members to temporarily pause their membership directly in the app, ideal for injury, exams, extended holidays, or life’s unexpected moments.

Pause ‘n’ Play Benefits

🔹 6-month membership: Pause for up to 2 weeks
🔹 12-month membership: Pause for up to 4 weeks
🔹 Continuous 12-month members: Pause for up to 3 months

These innovations are possible through our partnership with World Sport Action, with all purchases, pause requests, and renewals managed seamlessly through Basketball Connect.
