Prior to becoming a founder member in 1962 of the Eastern Districts Football League Ringwood had already enjoyed senior grade premiership success a total of ten times in various competitions. The club promptly added an eleventh flag by coming the inaugural premier of the EDFL. Since then there have been three further senior grade grand final triumphs, in division one in 1978, and in division two in 1976 and 2005. Perhaps the club’s most famous playing product was Paul Van Der Haar - “the flying Dutchmen” - who went on to eke out an illustrious, if sometimes injury impaired, 201 game VFL career with Essendon.

NICK MCGOWAN ANNOUNCES $1.1 MILLION FOR NEW JUNIOR CLUBROOMS AND LIGHTS IF ELECTED!

Thank you to Ringwood candidate Nick McGowan MP who tonight at our under 17.5s presentation night announced that if he is elected at the upcoming state election, he will provide $1.1 million for new junior changerooms and lights at the top oval.

Our junior President, Sarah Dalton, who has been strongly advocating for this project, joined Nick tonight to announce the commitment.

Thanks to Nick for his tireless and passionate advocacy for our junior club! Make sure you thank Nick in person when you see him around the town.

Whether you had a great 2026 with us and can’t wait to play again in 2027, are playing footy for the very first time or looking for a fantastic new club that cares for players and families! We’d love to hear from you and have you get involved.

Expressions of interest are welcome from Boys from U8 to U17.5 and Girls U8 to U18.

Congratulations to the 17.5s on a great season this year!

They went down in the grand final 51-37 to Kilsyth today, fighting all day and never taking a backwards step.

Well done to the coaching staff and the entire team on a fantastic season! The future is well and truly bright with some talented stars coming through the ranks🕷

It's Grand Final day tomorrow for our under 17.5s! Get down to Walker Reserve (Wantirna South) at 3pm tomorrow to support the team in your Ringwood club gear!

The clubrooms will be open at 6pm after the game.
