🏀 DINGOS U10 RECAP – ROUND 13 🏀
Dingos U10 Orange 🧡
Dingos 55 def. Royals Gold 31
What a great game from our U10 Orange Dingos!
We were missing two key members of the pack this week through illness and injury, but the rest of the boys did a fantastic job stepping up and playing together.
The final score was 55–31, but it certainly didn’t come easily. The Royals made the Dingos work for every point, bringing strong defensive pressure and knocking down some really pretty shots of their own. It made for a great contest between two teams who have enjoyed some good battles this season.
One of the biggest highlights for the Dingos was their confidence driving to the basket. The boys worked hard to get themselves into good positions, backed themselves and even showed off some fancy footwork along the way. It’s been really rewarding to watch that confidence grow as the season has gone on.
It wasn’t easy to pick a standout this week, with every player giving their best. They worked together, played for each other and came away with their highest score of the season so far - 55 points. Something they can all be really proud of. 👏
⭐️ Our Grill'd Pack Star of the Week was Noah. He brought his usual steady and reliable performance, while also finishing as our highest scorer for the game with his best score of the season so far! A fantastic effort and very well deserved, Noah.
This was our final match-up against the Royals for the season, and we’ve really enjoyed watching these two teams compete. Hopefully we’ll see plenty of the Royals boys again over summer as they make the move up to U12s together. Thanks for some great games this season. 🤝

The game this week was another great, competitive battle right until the very end. It didn’t go the Dingos way, and there were a few tears from some of the boys again - but that just shows the competitive spirit they have and how much they care!
As the boys have heard before, they either win or they learn, and there were definitely some valuable lessons to take away from this game.
🏀 You Can’t Win Playing 1v5
Too many of the attacks were attempts to score individually without getting the rest of the team involved. This week, we’ll be working on moving the ball and setting up more team plays.
🏀 Building Their Organisation On Defence
Defence comes down to awareness and communication. The boys were missing a little of both, so that will be another focus at training this week.
Overall, it was great to see just how competitive the boys are. They didn’t give up until the final whistle, and that resilience will continue to serve them well as they grow and develop together.
⭐️ Sebastian was our Grill'd Pack Star of the Week. Still recovering from being sick, Seb still came out and played with incredible hustle at both ends of the floor, pulling down rebounds and getting some great putbacks!
Great job, boys. They should all be proud of the way they kept competing until the final buzzer.
Just two games left for our U10 boys - hard to believe their first season as Dingos is almost at an end!

🏀 DINGOS U12 RECAP - ROUND 13 🏀
The U12 Dingos Black had the week off with a bye, leaving the U12 Dingos Orange to carry the torch for the Pack this round.
Dingos U12 Orange 🧡
Dingos 34 def. 4You Bears 16
There were a lot of nerves this week coming into a danger game against 4You Bears. Back in Round 6, we were lucky to come away with a 4-point win in a hard-fought contest, and we knew they would come out strong wanting to get some revenge.
The first half was a low-scoring, dour affair, with neither team really able to wrestle away the ascendancy. The start of the second half played out in much the same fashion, with a single bucket separating the teams before the Dingos finally managed to kick into gear and come away with the win at the final siren. 👏
The Bears' pressure on the ball carrier in the first half was frantic, and we really struggled to advance the ball up the court. In the second half, we managed to force more turnovers, which allowed us to get into our transition offence much quicker before the defence could get set and ensured we weren’t getting trapped in the backcourt.
There were still some red flags defensively in the first half, mirroring what we’d seen in our matchup earlier this season. We’ll need to go back and sharpen that up at training through the week!
This week we were missing Cooper - get well soon, mate - and brought in Ned from our U10 B Grade Dingos Black team, and he didn’t look out of place. He did an exceptional job picking up the defensive system with no prior experience and hustled throughout the whole game.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t quite get him that open 3-pointer at the end of the game - shots from outside the arc in U10s are only counted as 2! He was our first Grill'd Pack Star of the Week based on his effort.
Our second Grill'd Pack Star of the Week was Beau. He was hounded defensively in the first half and struggled to get into the game offensively, with the Bears doing a great job of containing him. However, when the game was on the line in the second half, he simply took over and showed why we rate him as one of the very best players in the U12 age group.
Beau finished the game with 5 steals, 7 rebounds and a block, showing that he doesn’t just impact the game on the offensive end - he’s an all-round superstar. ⭐
This win puts us into 4th place on the ladder with two weeks to go. We’ll need to knock off an LWLC team in the final two weeks to make finals, which will be a difficult task, but our boys won’t back down from a fight. 💪

U10 Dingos Orange 🧡
Dingos 30 def. LWLC Lions Blue 7
We took on our favourite frenemies at Living Waters this week, led by the one and only, their fearless leader, Coach Ross, who continues to do brilliant work with these boys.
The Dingos were on the ball this afternoon, however, with the highlight being their spacing on the court and not all crowding around the ball.
They got to their positions, played them so well and really spread the defence out. Our passes didn’t always get where we wanted them to, but the boys had the right ideas and were constantly looking up for their teammates instead of just looking for themselves.
Our Grill'd Pack Star of the Week went to Hudson C, who was cutting into the lanes so well and making some pretty amazing shots. Great work, Huddy! 👏
Still undefeated and already looking forward to next season with the big boys in Under 12s… especially coming up against our brothers at the Bears who are apparently trying to steal WABL players from Living Waters. 😉🤔
Well done, Dingos. Now let’s finish out the season strong!

WHAT A GAME! 🫣
That was easily one of the most exciting games of the season so far. It was fun, fiercely competitive and packed with energy from both sides!
The Dingos came into the game with a goal to stay undefeated, while the Raptors came in with one goal of their own… to be the team to knock them off.
The boys were shorthanded with only six players, but they never yielded. Similar to the last time these two teams met, the Raptors got to the free-throw line multiple times while the Dingos racked up shooting fouls - definitely an area they’ll focus on cleaning up and improving.
Aside from that, it was a fast-paced, back-and-forth battle that came right down to the final seconds, with just a single point separating the teams.
The boys have gotten used to winning with ease this season, but complacency is the enemy of growth. When the final whistle blew, there were some teary eyes walking off the court. Those emotions showed just how much they care and that they gave everything they had on the floor - and as parents and coaches, that’s all you can ever ask for. 👏👏👏
Things won’t always go their way, but it’s these exact moments that help them learn, adapt and grow. Building this level of competitiveness and a growth mindset will help these boys win far beyond basketball.
Our Grill'd Pack Star of the Week went to Jackson - not just for his points or rebounds, but for his sheer competitiveness in those final minutes. Diving on the floor for loose balls and fighting for every extra possession, he brought pure heart and energy to the game!
Cooper, Sebastian, Kayde, Odin and Raiden - every single one of these boys stepped up! They all contributed heavily on the scoresheet, with their hustle and rebounds, while playing big minutes with a short bench.
So proud of the effort from this entire team. Great job, boys! Keep pushing, keep learning and keep getting better together.
LET’S GO DINGOS! 🧡🖤

WELCOME TO THE PACK, GIRLS! 🧡🖤
WOO HOO! After plenty of searching, sharing, asking around (and maybe a little begging!), we’ve officially found a team of awesome girls ready to make up the Dingos’ very first Girls team for Summer!
… and we couldn’t be more excited. 🙌
When we started this journey, we honestly didn’t realise just how challenging it would be to find young girls who wanted to give basketball a go. But rather than discourage us, it’s made us even more determined to do our part in getting more girls onto the basketball court.
We know participation in sport drops significantly for girls as they move into their teenage years. As a club that genuinely values girls and women in sport, we want to help change that story - starting young!
Our goal? To create an environment where girls feel welcome, supported and confident. Where they can learn the game, make friendships, have fun, compete, grow and hopefully develop a love for basketball that stays with them for many years to come... just like the boys. 👊
This little team of U10 girls might only be the beginning, but it’s a beginning we’re incredibly proud of.
Here’s to supporting the future of girls’ junior basketball at Rockingham Basketball and Recreation Association, keeping more girls in sport and showing them there’s absolutely a place for them in the Pack. 🫶
MAKE WAY… THE DINGOS GIRLS ARE COMING! 🔥

🏀 DINGO U12 RECAP – ROUND 12 🏀
U12 Dingos Orange 🧡
Dingos 24 def. by LWLC Lions Blue 35
This week we came up against the third-placed LWLC Lions Blue, who were severely undermanned and only able to field four players, but were still stacked with plenty of top-end talent.
Having played them earlier in the season, we went into the game knowing the defensive strategy they were likely to use and were prepared for a much slower pace than our normal style. That said, we jumped out of the gates to a 12–1 lead before the opposition settled into the game and started to take control just before half time, ultimately defeating us 35–24.
It was also a quick turnaround for five of our boys, who were playing their second game within two and a half hours. That may have contributed to us being overrun in the second half, but full credit goes to a well-structured and disciplined LWLC side.
After some really strong performances over the last month, our effort on defence lagged behind what we’ve come to expect and went a long way towards giving up too many easy transition buckets. In the immortal words of Paula Abdul, we’d taken two steps forward and this week we took two steps back. 🫣
That was highlighted time and time again by the opposition finding open players in dangerous positions despite having one less player on the court. Our mantra of 100% focus and 100% effort fell by the wayside for a week, but we’ll be looking to right the ship in our next fixture.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom though, with some positives to take away from the game. Our secondary scorers combined for 11 points, which has been a real focus area for us over the last few weeks.
This week’s Grill'd Pack Star of the Week was Archie, who plays the centre position but is continually giving up a few inches and several kilos to his direct opponent. We’ve asked a lot of him on the boards this season and he’s come on in leaps and bounds, to the point where he’s now pulling down double-digit rebounds on a fairly consistent basis over the last six weeks.
Being part of a successful team in any sport requires players to commit to a role that best fits the needs of the team, and Archie has exemplified that this season. Well done, Archie! 🙌

Very proud of our boys’ performance under some really tough circumstances. 🫶
The coaches’ advice at half time was simple: there are things we can control and things we can’t. Rather than focusing on the refereeing, which was beyond our control, we needed to focus on playing our game the right way, maintaining our attitude and keeping our composure.
While the frustration was definitely palpable, the boys pushed through right to the end, injuries and all. Games like this can be difficult in the moment, but we know our boys will be better players because of it, and we thank them for continuing to trust the process.
Our Grill'd Pack Star of the Week was Ashton. Ashton is explosive on the court every week and, as one of our key ball handlers, is often a huge contributor in areas that aren’t always reflected by points on the scoreboard.
This week, alongside his usual steals and rebounds, he also finished as our highest scorer. Well done, Ashton! 💪

Great result this week!🔥
The boys faced South Coast Baptist, and what an amazing team they are. They continue to show just how much they have progressed, and without a doubt, they’re the most improved team in U10 A Grade. Fantastic to see their growth and the way they continue to challenge us from start to finish!
Some awesome stats across the whole team this week, with everyone contributing in different ways. A special shout-out to Boston, who had a huge game and picked up a double-double 🤌
The man-to-man defence was outstanding, and the boys’ passing has come so far this season. Their teamwork, ball movement and ability to find each other on the court has really developed, and it’s been awesome to watch it all come together.
⭐️ Our Grill'd Pack Stars of the week were Noah and Henry.
Noah’s determination never stops, and he showed some excellent scoring and dribbling abilities. Noah continues to work hard and make an impact every time he steps on the court. Well deserved, Noah! 👏
Henry just continues to work incredibly hard every single game. He gives everything he has (even when he’s sick), sets the standard and is a true leader both on and off the court. An absolute pleasure to coach. Well done, Henry!
We couldn’t be more proud of these boys and the way they are growing, learning and supporting each other every week.
Well done, boys! Here’s to next week! 💪

What a game!
It was filled with great energy - the boys were fighting for every single possession, sharing the ball well, and giving their absolute best effort on the court. What else could a coach ask for?
⭐️ Odin, Kayde and Jackson were our joint Grill'd Pack Stars of the Week!
These three did so much work on the defensive end with steals, rebounds, and great passing. I'm just so happy to see them getting so comfortable and growing their game.
🏀 Ned and Raiden were highly efficient on the offensive end today, controlling the pace and sharing the ball exceptionally well.
🏀 Sebastian and Cooper were absolute disruptors! The two of them were everywhere on the court - pulling down rebounds and getting huge stops. Great job, boys!
It’s been incredibly rewarding to watch these boys improve their skills and grow in confidence throughout the season. With only four games remaining, the focus is on having fun, finishing strong and creating some unforgettable memories from their final U10 season. 🧡🖤
Let's go Dingos! 🙌
