🏀 THAT’S A WRAP ON THE 2026 BASKETBALL UNITED ROSTER! 🏀
What a season it has been!
As we close out another incredible year of the Basketball United Roster, we want to take a moment to say a massive THANK YOU to every single person who has played a part in making 2026 so special.
Once again, we have had an amazing season filled with great basketball, fantastic games, new faces, new coaches, new Match Managers, developing referees and, most importantly, an incredible basketball community.
Year after year, we continue to grow in leaps and bounds, and that simply wouldn’t be possible without the incredible people who continue to give their time, energy and passion to this roster.
🏀 To all the teams and clubs who entered THANK YOU!Your sportsmanship, dedication and commitment throughout the season has been outstanding. Win, lose or draw, you have represented your clubs with pride, and we have loved having you be part of Basketball United. We hope to see you all back again for many seasons to come!
🏀 To our referees, THANK YOU!Thank you for giving your time, stepping onto the court and continuing to learn and develop. Watching our referees grow from strength to strength has been one of the real highlights of the season. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.
And a special thank you to the amazing mentors who continue to support, guide and encourage our referees. Your experience, patience and willingness to give back is helping build the next generation of officials.
🏀 To our Match Managers , Shellie, Jonathan, Alicia, Maria, Lou and Charlotte THANK YOU!
We are so incredibly blessed to have you all.
The countless hours spent at the stadiums, often behind the scenes and without much recognition, ensuring games run smoothly, helping teams and officials, solving problems and making sure everything is where it needs to be , it truly is a thankless job.
But please know that what you do matters.
The competition simply wouldn’t be what it is without you.
🏀 To everyone who has helped put this roster together, THANK YOU!
There are so many hours of planning, organising, communicating, scheduling, problem-solving and preparation that happen long before anyone steps onto the court. Every person who has contributed has helped make Basketball United what it is today.
And finally…
To all our parents, carers, families and supporters, THANK YOU!
Thank you for bringing your kids along, supporting them from the sidelines, cheering them on and allowing them to be part of this wonderful competition.
Whether it was a win, a loss, a first basket, a new skill, a tough game or simply a night spent enjoying basketball with friends, we have loved having you here.
Basketball United is so much more than just a basketball roster. It is about people, development, friendships, opportunities and creating a place where everyone can belong.
We are incredibly proud of what this competition continues to become, and we cannot wait to see where we go next.
From all of us at Basketball United, THANK YOU for making 2026 another amazing season. 🏀

🏀 CONGRATULATIONS STELLA! 🏀

A huge congratulations to Stella , who has taken out our Referee Quiz Challenge held over the school holidays! 👏🏆

As part of our continued referee development, our referees were given the opportunity to put their knowledge to the test, answering questions about the rules and everything that comes with being a great referee. It was fantastic to see so many of our referees get involved!

Stella not only topped the quiz, but also gave an awesome response to our tie-breaker question: “Why do you referee?”

“I became a referee because I love basketball and wanted to be more involved in the game. I want to be fair, support the players and other referees, and help make every game enjoyable for everyone.”

Well done, Stella, a fantastic result and an even better reminder of what being a referee is all about. We’re incredibly proud to have you as part of our referee family! 👏

🎁 Stella has won a $50 gift card for taking out the challenge! Congratulations, Stella, enjoy! 🎉

A HUGE thank you to Chris Gray for his continued support of our referees and for helping us provide opportunities like this as part of our ongoing referee development. Your support in helping us develop, recognise and celebrate our officials is greatly appreciated! 👏🏀

Congratulations, Stella! 🏆
