Today Ministers Duigan and Archer visited the Northern Tasmanian Croquet Centre to launch the Ticket to Wellbeing Vouchers. These $100 vouchers will be available to eligible members of the community aged over 65 and can be used to help seniors to stay healthy and active in the community. St Leonards Croquet Club is an Approved Provider and welcomes Seniors to Come and Try Croquet during Seniors Month.

Over the weekend, the Tasmanian GC Mixed Doubles was played in fine weather (on very wet lawns). The competition was strong as state team members honed up their skills in preparation for the Interstate Shield Competition later this year.

The winners were Carol Inches and John Colquhuon (Eastern Shore), and second Carol Hanigan (Sandy Bay) and Malcolm Maney (Latrobe).

Over the weekend, our members officiated at the Tasmanian GC Open Mixed Doubles. Tom (Tournament Manager) and Harry (Referee) teamed up to make the event a very successful one. Our member, Sue Nicholls, and her partner played some very tight matches against some of the state’s best players and finished with three wins over the two-day competition. Well done, SLCC members.
