Backcountry Ski/Splitboard Camp Saturday 29th/ 30th August.

Join us for an unforgettable weekend snow camping and backcountry ski/splitboard touring in The NSW Main Range.
We will search out the best conditions on offer and safely guide you through some of the most spectacular mountain terrain in Australia. During the weekend you will learn about ~ trip planning, mountain weather, basic navigation, terrain awareness and snow camping skills. You will be carrying all your nesceccery kit and we will be aiming to ride as many lines as possible so a high level of fitness and competent ski or snowboarding abilities is a must

The incredible sandstone cliffs around Nowra offer some of the best sport climbing in the country, with everything from easy grey slabs to steep overhanging orange caves.

Standing defiantly like an island in the sky, The Castle captivates even the most seasoned bushwalker.

The journey begins through expansive rainforest and woodland as you make your way up Kalianna Ridge. Along the route, you’ll traverse beneath towering rock faces at the base of The Castle, passing hidden caves and cascading waterfalls before reaching the narrow gateway of Meakins Pass.

From here, the adventure intensifies. A challenging scramble along the exposed ridgeline leads ever higher above the ancient below.
As you gain elevation, breathtaking vistas begin to unfold before you finally emerge onto the broad summit plateau of The Castle.

Rewarding every step of the climb, the summit offers spectacular panoramic views across the Budawang Range to the distant Tasman Sea—a truly inspiring destination that showcases some of the finest wilderness scenery in New South Wales.

All the fixed ropes have recently been removed from the mountain, We provide all the necessary ropes and climbing equipment for a safe ascent/descent on our guided trips.
