WE'RE BACK! 💪

Day 1 of our new term and we're back into the full swing of things at JJF!

Our full timetable kicks off today, including our outdoor classes, and I'm looking forward to getting everyone back into a routine.

If you've been thinking about getting back into training but keep putting it off, here's your little nudge 😉

We've got spots available in both our Small Group Strength Training and Outdoor Classes, and if you're not quite ready to commit to a membership, I've also got a 28 Day Kickstarter Pack to help you get started.

Whether you're looking to get stronger, improve your fitness, feel better or just have 40 minutes where nobody needs anything from you, I’ve got you covered.

And remember, you don't need to be fit to start. That's what we're here for!

Ready to get started? Send me a message and let's get you moving!

I still see so many women picking up weights they could probably do 30 reps with… and stopping at 10.

If your goal is to get stronger and build or maintain muscle, especially as you get older, those last few reps should actually feel challenging.

That doesn’t mean your technique goes to s**t just to lift something heavier.

But it DOES mean we need to stop being scared of challenging ourselves.

Choose a weight you can control with good technique, but one that makes you work for those last couple of reps.

You are stronger than you think.

And if you've been using the same dumbbells for the last 12 months, it might be time to pick up the next pair.

It’s school holidays, the kids are home, routines are out the window and suddenly finding time to train feels too hard.

I’ve definitely had days where I’ve thought “I’ll just skip today, I’ve got too much on”.

But I also know how much better I feel when I do make the time. My mood is better, I have more energy, more patience and tbh I’m probably a nicer person to be around 😅.

Training isn’t just about getting fitter or stronger, it’s also about feeling good.

Making time for yourself isn’t taking away from everyone else.

From your mid 30s onwards, women naturally start losing muscle mass.

During peri-menopause this can accelerate.

Less muscle can mean:
- slower metabolism
- lower strength
- more fatigue
- changes in body composition

The good news.. this isn’t something you have to simply accept as part of ageing.

Strength training is one of the most effective ways to maintain muscle, support your long term health and help you stay strong, independent and active for years to come 💜
