IMPORTANT USAGE GUIDELINE FOR MAXEL ARMORY LEVEL WIND REELS

Dear Valued Customers, MAXEL ARMORY reels boast a SYNCHRONIZED LEVEL WIND mechanism. This means that the feed of the line both onto and off of the spool is always in precise alignment with the movement of the level wind guide.
This mechanism requires that the line feed from the spool and line guide position must be in synchronized alignment at all times ! Any mis-alignment can cause damage to the line guide pawl that travels in the level wind worm gear that moves the guide back and forth across the reel frame, leveling the line on retrieves.
Assuring the correct alignment if the line has, perhaps, been wound completely onto the spool and out of the line guide is quick easy.
In case of mis-alignment, just unscrew the guide claw nut and take out the guide claw, until the line guide moves freely. Pass the line from the spool through the line guide and let the guide slide into its synchronous position with the line on the spool. Then, just tighten the pawl housing and you are once again set to fish with fully SYNCHRONIZED line flow !

If you must detach your usual terminal tackle or lure, consider tying on a ring or large swivel onto the line to prevent the line end from winding fully onto the spool and causing mis-alignment.
