Today marks a milestone in the history of the John Paul College Saints Academy, with our inaugural Year 7 Academy team taking the field for its very first game.
What a way to begin—our students delivered a fantastic performance, earning the Academy’s first-ever win against Clontarf. More importantly, they displayed outstanding teamwork, sportsmanship and pride in the Saints jumper.
Today’s achievement is the result of countless hours of work behind the scenes. A huge thank you to Mr Waddell and Mrs Johnstone for their vision, leadership and commitment in helping bring the Academy to life.
To the entire John Paul College PE team, thank you for the many hours you’ve dedicated behind the scenes to build this program from the ground up.
A special thank you also to Eshe Christie and the WA Football Commission for their ongoing support in creating elite football pathways for students in the Goldfields.
